Hello everyone.
I've been accepted to the Erasmus University and Southampton University to study maritime law, however I seem to not be able to make up my mind... Both universities have pros and cons, Southampton has much higher tuiton fees but a good reputation. Rotterdam seems the right place to study Maritime law since the biggest port in Europe is there.
Is there anyone with some experience and some concrete tips who's able to help me out? Thank you in advance!

Hi,
I am also considering these schools for Maritime Law LLM. Which one did you choose, and are you happy with it? Could you provide some information? Thanks in advance.

Neither. Go to Swansea.

I agree with Tom but out of the options given, I'd go for Southampton for sure.

Why would you pay more? I would go to Rotterdam.

Southampton has been in decline for a good while now, and the reviews from friends/acquaintances that have attended the Rotterdam maritime law course have been generally poor. At least Southampton still has a decent enough reputation at law firms because reputations in the law industry can die extremely slow deaths.
It’s probably still possible to make a late application to Swansea, which would have been preferable to either. Not sure whether QMUL might still accept applications.

Southampton hands down! Otherwise, please take a look at Swansea and QMUL.
