My congratulations. Yale's website says all the decisions will be released simultaneously. So if we received nothing by the end of today, it means we are rejected?

A joke is fun (and I like it), but some people go too far
Every year is the same thing... conspiracy theory all over the place... come on guys, give it a break... Personally, I believe in every post until the facts prove that it was not true. And honestly, in almost one year posting, I never found a big fat liar...
Congrat to the accepted ones
É brasileirada, vamos ver quem é o Mestre dos Magos que vai pra Yale

Destiny:
Althought this is not "my fight", I agree with 2009: be calm. From previous threads, I belive that 80% of acceptances were released the first two weeks of March, so, if you have not hear from them by March 15, start to worry; remember for example that some CLS's early applicants were notified of their acceptance in late Nov., while other were notified in late December, so sometimes, not all decisions are released at the same time.
One reason why I didn't applied Yale is because it has the most competitive and selective process of admissions, so I could understand your concerns, but that doesn't justify the behaviour that you had with 2009 and tricker.
Wish you the best to all of you!

I agree with Jenny1980 and 2009. With Kobayashi's posts I have know doubt anymore that Yale is sending out letters know. If you treat everyone who is posting as a liar, no one will share admission news anymore.

the Italian guy who claimed above to be admitted has a great academic background, so I'm sure he got the call from Yale. that's no good news for me, since I'm Italian too and me chances to get into Yale are nearing to zero. Still confident in Harvard though, 'cause of my background and bigger size of the class...hope to have good news soon, as all this waiting is killing me...I started to have weekends!

Congrats to those who are already admitted.
Could you tell us if your last names start with one of the first letters of the alphabet ? Because if they are calling people following the alphabetical order then those with a last name whose starts with a letter which is at the end of the alphabet could stop worrying (at least for this weekend)
Thx

rather than knowing if they are calling people by alphabetical order, it might be more useful to know the countries of those persons who are already admitted. say you find out that two people in China are admitted, and you are from China yourself, that already knocks you out of contention, and there would be no use waiting, even if your name is Zhuge Liang (with Zhuge as your surname).

I have another query. Does anyone (including 'debutant' trickster) know how do they notify the chosen ones? Is there a standard procedure? Is it only a phone call or they send you an email as well?
Best!
Best!

for sure they call (or at least try to call) all the admitted students. last year they notified more or less around March 8. if you're not in, they will mail you their decision. that said, it's up to you trying to know something more before you receive a letter of rejection in early April

Monday now. Anybody else received a call?
Posted Mar 02, 2009 20:36
Nope, not yet ...
Posted Mar 02, 2009 20:47
But it seems they should have already made all the decisions. Now it's just the week to call?

I will wait until mid March before calling them, since they usually make most decisions between March 5 - 15.

well well well.....there lies a dilemma....
It appears that by last friday they had already chosen the glorious 25 (trickster's call + the 'official' website statement that 'all the decisions are made at the same time')
If this is correct, It's just a matter os calling 25ppl.....which wouldnt have taken a couple of hours...STRANGE.....
Besides Trickster, no one else got the call??

I guess the 25 just don't visit this website or don't post.
