Hi out there, this is meant to be a merely FYI post, as I know that there is some speculation as to when acceptances start to spread.
I have just received a call from YLS, and I was accepted.

Congrats Trickster! Yale is, by far and according to every single ranking-, the best law school of the world.
However, it seems very suspicious for me that someone who is writing his first post is the first one that announces Yale news But well, if what you say its true, my sincere congrats. Maybe I will have to apologize with you when more people start posting their acceptances.
Could you tell us your credentials?

why should it be weird?
I had nothing to write upon, before getting this communication. I only got a CLS admission back in January, but I guess CLS is no longer any misterious, as to acceptances.
I have wandered this board in the past days as I was wondering whether NYU or HLS had started accepting people, therefore I posted my YLS-related fact, that could be of some interest for people like me.
I am an Italian graduate, PhD student, currently working in a US lawfirm in Italy.
Cheers.

Well, you're wright. Why should I doubt about you. My sincere congrats. You should be now the most happy guy (girl) in the world, as you have become a member of the most selective law school, and only other 24 out of thousands of applicant could have that privilege!!
Ciao.

Congratulations!!!! Definetively a wonderful achievement!
I guess this brings a lot of anxiety to other applicants waiting for YLS decisions. I wish luck to all of you!

Hi you all, thanks for your congratulations.
In fact, your opinion is somehow precious to me, as I never thought seriously about where to go in case of multiple option, and I always reckoned that being stuck for a year in New Haven, well, it is not like spending a year in NYC.
But I concede, this is kind of a childish argument, I guess.
BTW, I obviously have no hint whatsoever about the process of acceptance, as to whether they started to call everyone on a regular basis, or my call was early for some reason. All I know is that I was called, probably someone could infer something more prescriptive than my mere description.

Wow, congrats!
From which 'università' are you from (both LL.B. and PHD)?
Can this fact (Yale sending out admission notices) possibly speed up the processes of other schools, such as HLS and SLS?

Believe or not my friend, New Haven is a very funny city, at least during the academic year. In Yale you will find tons of things to do, groups (sport, academic, political etc.) to join, activities etc. and you will be sharing with the most gifted students of the world.
It's a dream come true, enjoy it!!!

Trust me, Italiano, it was your mama who called you pretending to be Yale...you'll soon find out when you get home...
Posted Feb 27, 2009 22:20
funny.
actually it wasn't my mum, as she wouldn't be able to promptly send me back a mail from the address of the Director of Graduate Programs, in response to my mail specifying my contact information.
unless, but it seems to me pretty unlikely, that my mum took hackering lessons in my absence.
