Hi! Congrats!
So what other schools are you waiting for?
And just out of curiosity. Which one would you choose if you had to decide between those two? Did you get scholarships offers as well?
Kind regards.

Hi Ben82,
At the moment, i really don't know which one i would choose. It's gonna be a tough decision for me. Both of them are great schools and have similar rankings.
I'm also waiting decisions from GWU, UCLA, and Michigan (Ann-Arbour).
Kind regards,

Hi Ezgi2012
I got the same offers (plus other schools such as Fordham or UMiami, but they are lower ranked). I think Vanderbilt has a better reputation than USC, but I am also hesitating and waiting for UCLA (and for scholarship awards)

Yeah you are right. Definetely a tough decision. I have the same offers and a couple others. But I am still waiting for some others as well...
But alltough I have offers from 2 Top 7 programs I am still thinking about attending Vanderbilt. It seems like a really good program.
We might see each other in fall.
Kind regards

It is the hardest decision ! But yes, we definately might see eachother there, it is a really great school. I am meeting one of their professors next week in Paris, so that should be interesting as well. Where are you guys from ?

Hi guys!
Congrats on being admitted.
I am from Belgium, and know that one French (Caroline) and Italian (Maria) have been admitted too :).
It is indeed a very difficult choice, but hey, I comfort myself by saying that there is no wrong choice :).

Hey guys! I'm currently doing my LLM at USC. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
Doing my LLM in USC has been a great experience. They are supported by a group of staff who attends to all your needs. If you have any questions or if you need anything, just ask them and you will get an answer. When I say anything, I mean anything... eg looking for a job in the US? staying in the US after your LLM? filing your taxes? looking for places to go in LA?
The range of subjects they offer is just amazing. I'm sure it caters to everyone's interest and your biggest problem is deciding which subjects to let go because everything is so interesting but you don't want to be studying 24/7 too. The professors teaching Entertainment Law subjects are people who actually worked in the entertainment industry and they have a lot of practical experiences. They even have professors from the Business School who offer courses on law and business, law and economics, venture capital, corporate finance etc. so that is pretty awesome if you were once considering doing an MBA. If you are interested in studying for the bar exam, they have courses that caters to that too. Whatever your interest, I am sure they have something for you. I have a lot of European friends who do International Business Transactions, International Arbitration, International this and that.
We don't just study all the time. We have an excellent Student Bar Association that organizes lots of fun things to do every week. Plus, you are in California, nothing beats being surrounded by beaches, Hollywood, Universal Studios, shopping and you can ski all year round too.
I hope you guys pick USC. You won't regret it. I don't and it has been fun.

Hi Ben82,
The choice is entirely up to you. Some people want to study their ass off and some treat it as a gap year. You are the captain of your own ship. Some students, like me, take 30 credits a year plus extra and some only choose the minimum.
In any event, I have pm-ed you the email address of the Associate Director for the Graduate & International Program. She would be able to attend to your queries. Please re-send your email and you should hear back from them.
Hope this helps!

Hey Ben82.
I graduated from Vanderbilt LLM in 2012. I am from Mexico. I can tell you that Vanderbilt is an excellent choice.
The law school facilities are really nice. The professors at Vanderbilt Law are excellent, I can't complain about any of them. The number of available subjects is pretty impressive, and I'm sure you will be able to find all the subjects you would like to study. Apart from a couple of mandatory courses, you can choose whatever courses you like.
The people at Vandy law are very friendly. The Law Student Association organizes "Bar Review" every Thursday, in which all law students are invited to a different bar every week to hang out and socialize. Also, every Friday afternoon at the law school they have social events.
Nashville is an amazing place to study. Around Vanderbilt there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Also, downtown is just about a 5 minute drive from Vanderbilt, so all the fun is nearby. If you are into outdoors, there are plenty of places to visit during the weekends to relax and have fun.
Hope this helps. I think you would not regret choosing Vanderbilt.
