They Will Consider Waitlist Applicants In A Few Days I Guess

I just received an email which said "Thank you for your continued interest. Based on past experience, the Admissions Committee begins to make offers of admission to waitlisted candidates in April and then continues through the following months. We are neither able to estimate how many offers will be made nor elaborate on your position relative to others on the list. We will, however, inform you as soon the class has been closed.

We appreciate your patience and apologize that we cannot provide more information at this juncture."

Does anyone received the same email, or just me?

You sent them LOCI recently?

Did you send them some follow up recently?
It seems like a standard reply to LOCI

Don't you guys think it's a little late already? I was really hoping to hear from them by now. I mean.. after we receive this decision, we still have to apply for and get the i20 and then apply for Visa and other things. It is almost May.

A bit pessimistic for such a nickname...

I had emailed them last week, but got the aforementioned reply only yesterday.

Sorry guys, I should have informed earlier, I asked for an expedite decision few days back and then I got a reject. In a way I am relieved as it has made my choice easier! I will walk Northwestern!

Anyway.. I think I am going to ask for an expedited decision as well. Will take up Duke if not.

Hard to say if there is any hope. I imagine a couple of spots will open up. Anyway, I'm already making plans for Northwestern.
