University of Minnesota is a great place for LL.M. and its ranking isn't bad at all(within top 20). I have no idea for the life there as well. Still looking for other UMN to comment and share their views.

Hi I got in!

I believe Minnesota will be a great experience. The LL.M program is interesting and the people at the admission office are really reliable. I have chosen some courses that I'll take, mostly related to energy law.

The only thing I'm super nervous about is the weather. I have no idea how to bear the cold..

Did you receive scholarship from them?

Cheers!

hi! I am still in my home country but have begun looking for an apartment since 3 weeks ago. If you want to live within a walking distance to the law school, the rent is about 600 dollars or more for a studio and around 900 for a 2 BR apartment (most of them are unfurnished). If you dont really need to stay close to the campus, you can live within a bus drive away from the campus, there are PLENTY options in St. Paul or Como, you can find a place even with only 350 dollars all in! Btw when will you arrive?
