Stanford LLM + SPILS 2019 - 2020 Applicants

I just called. They said that they’re aiming to send all decisions by Friday.

I just called. They said that they’re aiming to send all decisions by Friday.

Does that mean that there is still hope for us without any 'cold call'. And have all the people who have gotten in received the cold call?

Hi Gents: I just got waitlisted for Stanford's IELBP program on 3/28 afternoon (Stanford time), and was asked if I would like to stay on the list. Any hint, advice or knowledge on how Stanford's waitlist system works and the likelihood to be admitted from the list?

One question to the admitted applicants (not limited to IELBP program), how many days (or until what day) Stanford Law gave you to accept your admission offers?

I was waitlisted for the ELP. From what ive found out from people and off the net theres not much which can be done other than sending in a letter of continuing interest to let them know that you guarantee attending if selected.

Hey Lawenvus, did they have a Skype interview with you before the wait listing decision?

Yep. I did not receive any news at all. I am an ELP applicant and I know at least two IELBP and one CGP applicants who are in the same situation.

Called Stanford admissions yesterday and they informed me that majority of the decisions are out. However, they stated if one has a tight deadline to commit from other universities it is prudent that you write to them so that they can fast track your application decision.

Dibbz# I'm still waiting news for my LLM application. That's ridiculous! Stanford is worthless! They know that if anyone gets a scholarship his or her tight deadline will be on April 1st, but Stanford does not care anyway as they are selfish and full of themselves..

I'm gonna say more... Stanford Graduate Committee's behavior is unbelievable and cannot be justified! How many applications do they receive for being so slow?? 1,000?? 10,000? 100,000? 1 million?? I'm quite confident Harvard receives much more applications than Stanford but is nevertheless able to let people know the admission/rejection decision by March 15.... Instead Stanford does throw away time by calling one person per week!!!! It's law not nuclear physics, we are not talking about any research capable of solving the climate changing!!! Stanford law school, comes back to the earth and GET OVER YOURSELF!!

SanchoStoC I totally agree with you. The LLM class is aimed at recruiting 70 students. The program clearly doesn't gurantee any financial aid. Delaying this admission decision further is unfair to candidates and ridiculous at the same time. Their policy actually makes it impossible for people from harsh backgrounds to get there, this is unlike Harvard. It actually kills the motivation of ever applying to any of the Stanford's academic programs in future.

Waitlisted. Any idea when will the waitlisted be candidates updated if they are to be upgraded. If accepted peeps could also indicate what's the deadline for their acceptance of offers. 5 months of agonizing wait and then an interview that went extremely well and then further wait. Bloody hell!!

For the longest time i was noticing that waitlisted and rejected candidates didn't receive any calls. But me and this other person were waitlisted and rejected, respectively, despite being interviewed. Also it seems that CG&P candidates were cold called and ELP candidates were emailed to schedule a Skype interview. Hope this helps. Wishing you all the best.

Hi, I’m on the CG&P wait list for more than one month. Has anyone received any updates about the current situation? Thank you!
