I think that I just had to tick off a box or sth like that. Never knew about the other scholarship (Hauser Global sth) which not only covers tuition fees but living cost, books and materials and so on. For that one extra essays were required.

I got admitted to the Traditional LL.M with a full-tuition scholarship (Arthur Vanderbilt Scholarship). I received the email yesterday (03-07-11).
Posted Mar 08, 2011 06:33
I got the admission email as well (few hours ago). No scholarship :( I havent written any essays for scholarships but as far as I remember, I have ticked the relevant place on the application form to be considered for any scholarship.
My deadline is April 15 (when you dont have any scholarship or waiver, you got the long deadline I guess :) ).
Good luck to all!

How did I not check the scolarship box? I didn't want to apply for Hauser or Vanderbilt but I thought NYU proceeded the same way as other Uni's : you get admitted and then you ask for a grant.
Oups.
Oups.

Now that I am checking my application form again, I couldnt see anywhere to check to apply for scholarship but I remember that I have read on the application guide that people would be automatically considered for scholarships/grants other than requiring an essay.
So Mikado, maybe you did the same way...

Ok, thanks C_Lawyer.
I checked and it seems nothing had to be done to be considered for a grant.
We'll see... First things first, It would already be nice to be admitted to the program :)

Wow lots of activity. Congrats to those admitted. Does anyone know how many scholarships are offered? Are we assuming no news is bad news re scholarships!?
Posted Mar 08, 2011 07:23
@Goodstar, I'm already assuming that, particularly because there is already one Brazilian guy who was granted the Vanderbilt scholarship... For those who were asking it, around 10 to 15 Vanderbilt scholarships are granted, and around 10 hauser ones (according to NYU website).

has anybody received the hauser scholarship? there's been many assumptions forwarded but would be grateful if anybody can confirm it..

C_Lawyer, which country are you from?
Did anybody else receive admission without scholarship?

Just curious: Any Germans in yet? If so, with scholarship?
Is diversity/nationality a factor in granting the scholarships?

Thanks. I just noticed that looking at the AppTracker. :-) (Posting questions before checking for the answer myself...I actually hate that! :-))
It appears a lot of Vanderbilts have gone out... Lets hope there are some left.

It looks like no one has been admitted yet for International Legal Studies, either with or without a scholarship.
So today may be the big day!

I have received an e-mail notification this morning (= yesterday evening NYC time). I have been admitted to the Business Regulation and Arbitration LLM. No scholarship however, even though I applied for one. :-(
At least, nowhere in the admission letter does it say anything about a scholarship or a waiver. I suppose that means no money? In that case, sorry NYU, but I'll go elsewhere...

The Grotius scholarships apply for international legal studies. Also you can apply for the Hauser schol. They haven't been announced yet, as far as I know. Perhaps today.
Edited because Internet Explorer ate half my post :-(
