I wonder if the admission guys at NYU visit this website and read topics like this one. What if... They don't follow the rule of the "first monday of March" at all? What if the results' day is really March 7th, or even a little later?

What if admission e-mails and letters are sent by Monday 12th (next monday)? Ha. Ha. Ha.

My status is "application complete and under review". Still waiting....

I have no doubt that once in a while they check these foruns. Anna Ivey, who was Chicago's dean of admissions, says in her book that she used to read the admissions blogs....

I bet. But they did say results would be out by mid-March. And mid-March would arguably be nearer March 15th.

It seems random - last year it was March 7 apparently and the year before it was earlier in March. Who knows? All I know is this is very non-conducive to getting any productive work done. sigh!!

Honestly, this is pretty cute. My wife found this site, and now we are totally hooked on trying to figure out the when and how. I was pretty convinced about the today at 230 theory... but it seems no admissions yet. (Not me anyhow).

After my Monday 5 (compared to last year's Monday 7th) theory died. My next theory is that it will be on the 7th, wednesday.

So you are the theorist! You have us all on tenterhooks. Why don't you pick a new theory, like late March or something so that at least we can focus on our work until then ;)

I've been checking the Applicant Online Status site again and again and again today, maybe the long waiting eventually makes me lose my normal state of mind but I notice from the site that the info in Mailings and Requirement Lists sections has now gone. Is it just me? Could this be a sign of decisions being made available soon?
Anyway, good luck to all! Hopefully we'll make the selection.

FYI - when I and other students were admitted last month, our requirements list disappeared but our current status date stayed the same - for me, even after I got the admission email my status date was October '11 but the requirements section was blank. So this may mean that decisions are being made on your applications. Also, I don't believe the admitted students website is up yet (at least I haven't been able to access it) so if you aren't able to log in there, it probably doesn't mean anything.

Nothing has changed in my "Requirements List" (it still indicates that my transcripts, my letters of recommendation, my résumé, my personal statement and my Toefl have been received by NYU). My "Mailings" List has always been empty, and it remains empty.

I don't know if that means I'll receive the results later. My status date is December 21st, 2011. Maybe your status as "Application complete and under review" is dated prior to that.
