NYU Offers?

Did anyone of you already ask for an expedite decision (regarding traditional LL.M.)? I am thinking of it because I have two deadlines of other schools (before the expected decision-date of NYU).

I also have a smiliar situation, i got accepted to another school whos deadline is March 15th. I contacted NYU admission but the lady told me they dont expedite decision for any reason whatsoever.

Thank you for the precise date @jgye. Now we know when it's safe to jump off our windows, in case things go south. (:

Did that scholarship timeframe apply to all the NYU LL.M. programs?

I'm jgye, changed name.

Last year, on monday the 7th they sent out most scholarships (hauser, grotius, dean's award, vanderbilt), then they sent out non-shcolarhsip offers every day that followed until friday. On tuesday/wednesday they did send out some half-tuition waivers.

For the scholarships, they had a two week deadline. For the nonscholarhsips, they had until mid-april.

Thank you very much for the answers. Let's wait one more week...until the hot phase begins.

Does anyone think its a good idea that I send NYU an email requesting the expediting of my decision due to the fact that I have a deadline coming up in March?

does NYU even consider such request?

My online status read "under review". however, i received an email today stating that my application is complete and has been send to the committee for review. Even i have to respond to a couple of unis by mid march so i am clueless.

@rissshabh I've received that e-mail months ago. Did you send all of your materials by the December 15th deadline? Better yet, have these materials been registered as received on the NYU website prior to December 15th?

I am amazed at how kind everybody is on these blogs. It makes me thankful to be a lawyer.

I am interested in Columbia (admitted) and NYU (not heard anything). The two schools seem very similar in terms of quality and reputation and so on. Based on these posts, it seems NYU is a bit friendlier (at least the staff). Another factor has to be Greenwich Village versus Morningside Heights. Cute, pricey urban space compared to less-expensive residential area with more parks. (At least that matters to me because I have kids).

Any sense about which school is known to be a better "community"? Better chances to make business contacts etc?

Just so everyone's aware. Last year they sent out offers on Monday, March 7th, which was actually the first week of March, since the previous monday was the 28th of Feb.

So that could possibly mean we will get an answer by this Monday at 2:30pm like last year.

GOOD LUCK to everyone! Only two days away.... makes me nervous

My thoughts precisely! Was it 2:30 PM EST last year?

Best of luck everyone! Cant't wait for the wait to be finally over and if it ends with an offer, all the better!

to recap : do they send a first waive of admissions and then the second one the following week end? do they send rejections and admissions during the same waive?
the first waive is for those with scholarship I think someone said before?

Last year they started on Monday 7th at 2:30pm sending mostly offers with scholarship, and a couple without em. All of the following days of the week they also sent out offers without scholarship, including some grants on tuesday and wednesday.

Like Master said, I can't wait for the wait to be over.

I just LOVE the anxiety of people in here. Soon, if someone says the results have been issued and are hidden in a cave in Afghanistan, everyone will take the first plane to Kabul.

Best of luck to you all, guys. Hopefully, we'll all be colleagues in NYU this year.
