Sure - I graduated 5th in my class from a Tier 3 school, did law review, moot court, research assistantship ... I'm a licensed attorney in Ohio, been working for a litigation firm since 2008 as a law clerk / associate.... as far as tax-related stuff, I also got a masters of science in tax at the same time as law school, competed in a tax case study competition at Deloitte and I've been accepted for publication in a law review coming out this spring (tax-focused article).

For the others accepted to NYU - have any of you been able to access the admitted students site? I tried a couple times and it said, "sorry, your information didn't match any records." I tried using my LSAC # and date of birth like it says. Maybe I'll email them and find out, because I didn't think I got any special log in info in the letter I received in the mail or the acceptance email. Just wondering...

I just got a letter in the mail about 2 days after the email. It was a standard admissions letter. The 2nd page of the letter said how to confirm enrollment (send $500 by April 16th). I certainly haven't gotten the numerous large promotional books that Georgetown has sent haha. But maybe that is yet to come.

I got the admission packet today (3 days after receiving the email). It has a law school faculty booklet, welcome pamphlet, law school magazine, acceptance letter, and various forms (intent to enroll, checklist/information, et al).

Mine is for the Tax LLM (full-time). I'm assuming my mail packet came earlier than others' since I'm in the area.

Yeah I got mine yesterday too. Really nice!! Kinda wishing these schools would spend less money on promotional materials and more money on scholarships though....

Hello Yuda,

I applied to the Int'l Law Program too. No response yet. NYU Graduate Programs website says they'll start releasing their answers by Mid-February, but from what I've read on this site I anticipate there will be some delay... I'm thinking about requesting an expedite decision since I have to confirm attendance to Columbia before March 19, but I'm not convinced that this is strategically convenient. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hopes up.

Best of luck!

Good question, La Vita. I must have asked myself that 1MM times.

If accepted with a scholarship or some form of tuition waiver, most definitely yes! If accepted without financial aid, I'd really have a tough time deciding... but I have set my eye on NYU's International Legal Studies Program ever since I learned that Prof. Alvarez runs it.

klots, fair enough, and best of luck to you! I would probably do the same thing... I applied the last minute (right before the deadline) to all the schools and so haven't got any answers yet... neither from Columbia nor from NYU, both of which are on my top list... I don't really know what my chances are in getting into these schools, but if accepted to both I see myself having a hard time deciding..

has any one got a decision for the international buisness, litigation and arbitration LLM?

does NYU send out rejection email or do they only send email for accepted students??
