How much is the Dean's Award?


As I understand, it varies from 10k up to full tuition.

Just received a Dean's Award as well. Am grateful but was actually expecting more... Would the credential of being a merit-based scholarship recipient be worthwhile to choose NYU over Columbia? Would appreciate your thoughts. And good luck to everyone!

I know one from China who got the Hauser scholarship. Not sure if he/she is taking it.


Hi there!
I'm trying to figure out where we are regarding NYU's scholarship offers.
I am aware of 3 Hauser Scholarships (from people that are from Ecuador, Turkey and Nigeria) - are you aware of other Hauser offers? I believe that there should be 10 offers in total.
Regarding the Vanderbilt Scholarship - I haven't heard of anyone that received such scholarship. Do you have any information about that?
Regarding Dean's Merit Scholarship, I believe that NYU already issued some of them and others may still come in the following days.
Any additional info is very helpful.

I am trying to figure out if there is any pattern with regard to yesterday's scholarship notifications. It seems likely that there still are more offers to follow but am trying to figure out more... Sure! I was admitted to the traditional LLM on February 8th.

I was admitted to the LLM in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration and I received USD 15k as the Dean's Award. I was admitted on Jan 26.

I was admitted to the general LLM at NYU and just received a Deans award for 25K. Nonetheless, I believe I will go to Chicago because of its law and economics. ALso,  because the program and the city fit better with my graduate studies plans (I got 20K at Chicago).

Hey guys, anyone still waiting for a decision? My application was marked complete way back on Jan 9 and I still haven't heard back. 1f630 Given that the deadline to accept or reject offers from other schools is April 1, wondering if NYU will give me a decision before that.

Any advice on whether I should email them or what the general situation is would be appreciated. 
For context, I'm a foreign educated lawyer and applied for the Legal Theory program.

Haven't heard back either. Application marked complete in the beginning of February (issues with LSAC). I emailed them but no reply yet unfortunately!

For those asking about the timeline of NYU, I completed my app to the General Tax LLM on 2/12 and was accepted on 2/16. I just received a Dean's Graduate Award today for $45,000. I am unsure what is the normal timeframe for NYU but know many of my friends with similar credentials, from the same U.S. law school, and applied around the same time who have yet to hear about acceptance/rejection.
