Hey Scholars,

The Applicant Online Status Check page doesn't exist anymore. Do you face the same thing? I didn't hear from NYU yet.

Hi, I think it does exist, I was able to access it today.
Try this link: https://aces2.lsac.org/YourStatus/membership/logon.aspx

Thank you AlineK. It doesn't work too :(

I have tried to use Google Chrome rather than Safari and it works. I was shocked honestly. Thank you AlineK so much.

You know what this is right? A clear sign to stop using apple stuff.

Just saying...

Would anyone mind letting us know if they've been rejected from NYU. Even if it was just a direct message. I'm trying to figure out if they just hold off until the very last minute to reject everyone or if they've been doing it incrementally and I'm on some waitlist somewhere.

Is anyone aware of the chat transcripts from Mar 13 and Mar 28? I did not find them on the admitted students page.
Thanks!

I've given myself until 5 EST today for NYU to respond to financial aid. If no response, I will be declining the offer and going to Chicago.

Quite likely a spot will open up for someone on the waitlist!

Did you get an email or it was updated in the status update page? I am still waiting to hear from them.

Have you tried calling or emailing them to ask for a decision? I emailed them to ask for an expedited review because I had upcoming deadlines for other Uni’s. They didn’t respond for over a week so I called the admin office, who then forwarded my email to the Admissions Committee and I got accepted a couple of days later on March 31 (the last date I asked for a decision by, as I had deadlines for other unis from April 1). If you still haven’t heard, I would suggest emailing them then following up with a phone call if they don’t respond within a couple of days. Good luck!

I received the Vanderbilt scholarship offer on March 20th and rejected it a few days later because I elected to go to Harvard instead.

To the person who was comparing NYU (Hauser) with Harvard, I'd say it all bottles down to what you want in life. NYU is better for tax, but Harvard is a more prestigious brand with respect to nearly everything else. I always grew up wanting to attend HLS, and applying to NYU was more of a "back-up" plan.... So when I got into Harvard the choice was really easy for me to make.

All the best!!!!

Hey all! For those of us who have been admitted but were not offered a scholarship: is it possible to still get an scholarship offer? I know they say that they will contact students about it until enrollment day, but the question should be: is it realistic to expect that they will still give out scholarships to those who have been admitted, but didn`t get any amount of financial help? I'm starting to get really pessimistic about this.

NYU is a little evasive about this, but my perception is that all scholarships have been offered. Now, a number of awarded candidates should decline admission and the respective scholarship award would then be offered to the "next in line". I believe this is an ongoing process until all scholarships are accepted.

So it all boils down to how many people are ahead of you and how many will decline admission to NYU. I don't expect any scholarship either, but enrolled at NYU anyways.

Question: I have been admitted and haven't been offered a scholarship. If I decide to decline my admission now, and trying again next year (19-20), how does it affect my chances on being admitted next time? Do they increase or decrease? Also, would it be more likely to get a scholarship? I haven't applied to other universities and I might decide to try NYU again next year if I don't get a scholarship until enrollment deadline
