Yesterday, I sent them an email regarding the status of my application. Within 30 minutes, they sent me my rejection letter. I am actually heartbroken but I really did appreciate that they got back to me so quickly.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Shall we expect anymore offers or is it going to be rejections from now on? Would be relieving to know if anyone has any idea.

Still waiting for a decision. I asked NYU about my status, they responded that international students are notified commonly by April, and the following:

" you should be aware that the Law School Admission Council has adopted the Member Law Schools’ Statement of Good Admission and Financial Aid Practices setting forth, in part, that schools should request responses to their offers only after admitted students have had sufficient time to consider the range of offers they may have received. The statement also mentions that many schools have historically considered April 1 or later as a response date that would provide candidates sufficient time. When considering any offer, we encourage you to read the terms of the offer carefully and to act in good faith. Again, we will contact you as soon as a decision has been finalized"

Got the same email. Since the school has released several waves of admission and some rejection letters, I tend to think people like us who are still waiting for decisions are waitlisted. But it's possible that some of us may get admitted and we don't know for sure. All we can do is keep waiting...

Are you guys getting this email upon asking for a status of your application or was it in general sent to you? Because I've not heard from NYU either way and also haven't received this message.

Idk, I have friends who got rejection emails. But there are applicants like me as well who haven't heard from them either way neither a rejection nor an offer. So I guess we can consider ourselves waitlisted? Or are there applicants who did specifically get waitlisted?

Hey! I am in a similar position. Got admitted in early February but haven't received any scholarship decision from NYU.  I have offers along with scholarship from other Universities. Not sure when is the right time to accept the offer.

Hi all,

I have received my offer about a month ago but I am still waiting for responses by other schools before accepting. How do we know by when we must accept our offer?

I'm really dispointed in the way NYU School of Law is handling the admission process. I've made application to 12 schools by November 2022, and NYU is the only school that has not responded in any manner. Is it so difficult for NYU to send emails to the applicants to notify them of what is going on?

Hi guys! Could I please get your opinions on choice of school?
My TOP school and program of choice would be NYU's LLM in international legal studies. However, since I still haven't heard back from them I am now setting my sights on the options I do have, the dilemma of which is between UC Berkeley and Georgetown.

Both are great schools but offer different pro's for international law (Georgetown being located in Washington DC close to many intl organisations and thinktanks etc). Berkeley's overall atmosphere attracts me more and I know it's generally ranked higher (even though Georgetown's international law program is ranked quite well as well). Berkeley also has the more progressive courses and feel than Georgetown does, since Washington is a quite sterile setting and in my opinion GULC seems to lack some character, located outside of Georgetown in the city centre. Academically both are great but for the overall experience of the LLM i want to make sure I make the right decision. BTW - i've gotten an extension on both tuition deposit deadlines. I did receive a substantial scholarship from GULC and I know it's course offerings in international law are broader than Berkeley's. I also plan on taking the NY bar exam. Was anyone faced with the same situation and perhaps have a clear indication of which school would be better to choose in my situation?

Here's to still hoping we all still receive positive news from NYU!!!!

Here here!
I am seeking a seat to NY bar exam.
I got admission from Georgetown (with scholarship) of D.C. and Penn Carey of Philadelphia and paid my first deposits to both programs.
Also I am in the waiting list of Columbia and craving NYU’s decision.
