I emailed NYU and they responded saying that "We plan on informing all applicants of their decisions in March", at least I think this is true for foreign applicants. Maybe the mid May deadline might be for the waitlisted applicants.

As for the alphabetical theory, I don't think that is correct: 4 people from my office applied to NYU, the first one with surname starting with letter L was accepted March 2nd, the second one with surname S was accepted around March 6th and the third with surname with letter C was accepted on Monday. Last one also with letter C is still waiting a decision. I think the alphabetical theory is true for Columbia though.

admitted today! And for those who are waiting: my requirements list never changed!

Just been accepted at the minute as well! (Traditional LLM) Congrats to all who've been admitted and good luck for the ones who are still waiting. My requirements list never turned blank or anything...

In the past few days, I just kept focusing on whether my requirement list went blank or not. Then, noticing some people were accepted today, I logged into the status-checking page, I found my "current status" column and "decision status" disappeared.

No idea it's a signal before decision rendering or those columns are always blank just like "mailings." Sorry for the question, because I didn't pay much attention to those columns before.

I would like to know the answer to the above question. My status and decision column is gone for a long time. Same as my mailing list. I think it means waitlisted. However I would like to know if the admitted students also have these columns missing.

Well, to the 2 questions above, I can tell that my Current Status line changed short after the whole system was modified. It was then showing the details of my application: Term 2015, Traditional LLM etc However I do not know if its a sign, I do not really believe in any "signs" as my requirements list never disappeared.
