Sory, one stupid question: is there any acknowledgement indicating that they received the lottery request? Or you just put "submit" on Albert and that`s all?

another stupid question:
all of you registering right now...all of you guys already have the F1 visa or are you registering still waiting for it? In my case, my appointment at the consulate is next month...should I register or wait till I get my visa first? thanks for your replies.

Hi,
I haven't got my visa eighter, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter for the lottery registration. As far as you have your visa when you arrive in the US everything should be fine. You should definately register before the deadline tomorrow.
Good luck:)

Does anyone knows what the "Writing" section at the lottery registration is? If I do not plan to write any research papers, can I just leave it open?

I just called NYU, for those who made similar omission as I did, this may be useful ---
It seems that on June 26, you can add and drop any courses (i.e. to revise your lottery result) so long as the courses you are to add are still open and not full
(of course you'll also have to look at any special restrictions that each individual class may pose)
I hope this helps. Good Luck to all!
