Any exact idea about as to how many Wallace Scholarships are available? The NYU website is silent about this and only mentions that "one-half tuition scholarships are available". At least it seems to me that more than one scholarship is available.

I know there´s more than one available - but I have no clue about how many...

Hi everyone !
I've been admitted to the NYU ITP too. I'm from France and I look forward to seeing you soon!
I will apply for the scholarship but even if I don't get it, I'll try to find the funds in another way...

Hi, v - welcome to this post. So you´re from France... It seems that we come from a lot of countries here... We have people from India, Russia, Israel, Mexico, Brazil... So... what are your expectations in respect of the ITP? Will you go to NYU for sure?

Hi Ivan,
I expect a lot from this year... and not only great courses in my area of interest and joining a famous University (which are, of course, among the determining elements of my choice).
But my expectations are also very personal. That would be my first year far from home and my last year of study before starting to work. It's like a transition I guess.
I'm also very happy to meet people from all over the world. We are only 20 or 25 in the ITP... I won't feel lost among thousands of people and at the same time we could meet many other students from the GTP. And, thanks to this little number, I hope we'll have more interaction with Professors than we generally do in France.
And NYC is such an amazing city...

Great, v! I guess we share the same expectations towards the ITP... For me it´s a little bit different: I´ve been working for the last years and I was looking for a break that could allow me to take some distance from my current life and see things clearer... while studying what I really like... I guess we´ll have a wonderful time in NYC... But what are your plans? LLM, NY Bar, then what?...

I've been studying law for 5 years in France - very classical. I worked part time during my last year of studies and I'm currently doing a full year of internships, waiting for the LLM :-)
I'd like to prepare the NY Bar Exam (and get an equivalency in France). Then... well... it depends. You never know what kind of opportunities you will have... I guess I will come back to France and look for a job as I don't have specific research plans or things like that...
And you? Where have you been working ? Will you stay for a while in the US after the LLM?

Salut, V! Mes félicitations! :) Je suis très contente que tu es avec nous! :) Ou fais-tu tes études? Paris 1 ou Paris 2 ( ou une autre université)?
A bientot! :)
For those, who do not speak french: "Hi, V! My Congratulations! I'm very happy that you've joined us! What university are you studying in: Paris 1 or Paris 2 (another university)?
See ya!"

Guys, I was wondering... Since we´ll be classmates anyway, why don´t we create a mailing list? Perhaps the communication via e-mail could be more useful and could allow us to share with each other our real names, etc. Do you think it is a good idea? If yes, send me a personal message with your personal e-mail adresses. Cheers, Ivan

If you look up, you'll see that I'm from Russia. :) Paris 2 is a great place! Last year I was admitted to M2-Droit Fiscal (2005-2006) à Paris 2, but I had to decide between my job and Paris 2. And I've chosen my work... It was a very difficult and painful decision, but it's life... :((
Cheers,

Painful decision, but if you went to Paris, you wouldn´t go to New York right now...

By the way, nobody knows that.... :) However, maybe you're right... I thought about this issue when I was fighting with myself trying to make the only right choice....

Hi, everyone! I will participate in the ITP too. I am from Japan. I agree with the idea of creating a mailing list. Ivan, I will send you my e-mail address. Thank you.
