jw, what scholarship did you apply for?

Global Hauser and the ill-fated Global Public Service Scholarship, the funding for which, I understand, dried up last year (doh).

Congratulation to all of you!
I have just received an email from NYU, and I'm not accepted.
Wow, I feel so sad...
I tried to do my best with the TOEFL and other stuffs, well... that didn't work...Anyway, let's focus on today's work

BUB: Sorry to hear. I do not want to sound patronizing, but you can always try re-applying next year, especially if you can locate new references. A lot of times, given the number of applications received by a place like NYU, I tend to think admission involves a bit of luck and timing, something that can change for an applicant from year to year.

I was accepted!!! Just got an email telling me about their decision and notifying me the formal letter is on its way via UPS.
I only need to hear from CLS and HLS now and I'll be able to make a decision...

Thank you jw,
I have already been admitted to top 17/20 schools, but I'm now wondering whether I should go there, or should I gain more profssionnal experience and then re-try for top 10 such as NYU?
Thanks in advance

I am also from Canada (working in Calgary but graduated from UBC last year), and also recieved my package by UPS yesterday. I also got the email acceptance that NYU said wouldn't actually be sent when I called them a couple days ago.
After some thought, I am choosing NYU over LSE, UCL, Georgetown, Duke, Penn and, if I ever hear back from them, Cambridge. For international law is this the right decision?!
See some of you next year....now the stress of figuring out how to pay for living in NY!

rah23: That's great, man.
I, too, have been accepted at LSE, but am waiting on Cambridge. I'm also waiting on CLS.
Speaking with my professors at law school, they indicated they were very impressed with NYU's international law program. So I can't see that going to NYU over any of those other schools is a bad choice at all.
But, like you, if I choose to go to any American school, the question of finances inevitably arises.
If there are any wealthy philanthropists lurking on these boards interested in funding a poor Canadian graduate student, private message me. ;)

First of all: congratulations to all of you who got admitted!!!
Does anyone perhaps know when the LLM-SJD decisions will be send out? They say end of april on their website, but do they inform us if we are at all admitted to the LL.M.? (as applications for the LLM-SJD will only be reviewed once you are admitted to the LL.M.) Anyone who knows?
If not, I will call them and ask as I have to decide on Berkeley within 2 weeks and on Chicago in 3 weeks.

As usual, first thing in the office: check my e-mail and this site.....and just learned that I'm admitted (Corporations)!! It's been a long wait; now I can finally put an end to my where-will-I-end-up-anxiety. NYU is my first choice and I'm thrilled to live in Big Apple.
Many thanks for this site and all you guys. It is like a big support group with no boundries.

imaverick: Congrats. And yeah, I need a scholarship, or perhaps to stumble upon about $50,000 CDN in the next couple weeks.

Hi Yen,
Congrats! I'm also from Taiwan and admitted for the trade regulation program (IP). Looks like you will be going to NYU. Are you currently a practicing attorney?

has anyone tried logging in to the password-protected site for admitted students? i couldn't find the link referred to in the brochure's FAQ, but did find this
https://its.law.nyu.edu/admitted/login/login.cfm?dest=/admitted/index.cfm
but my admission # doesn't work
has anyone successfully logged in?
