Hello,

I just spoke at the admissions office and they said the admission letters are being mailed (postal) tomorrow. He said that is the only way of communication about the decisions..no email/phone.

good luck!

Hmmm ... so either Eowyn is misleading us or the admissions office is. Good to know. I know who my money's on ... :-)

ritullm, thanks for sharing such information. Btw, do you know which kind of mail service are they going to use? (I mean, regular US mail or other like UPS, FEDEX,etc.)

Only regular mail?? Bufff... it is not the best way to comunicate decissions... we have to wait for the magic envelope and to trust in the international mail service... I hope they reconsider it... But if it is true, snow and eowyn are misleading the forum or are there exceptions at this general rule?

Anyway, good luck to all of you guys...

Well, for the sake of clarification I had a friend call them again (she is not even an applicant!), they did confirm all decisions go out tomorrow by MAIL, regular mail ....no email/phone.

I also called and was told that decisions were being sent by mail and were going to reach the applicants in and around the 15th (depending on where you live) - suggesting that they have actually already gone out!

Who knows though....a lot of schools end up emailing only those who got in, so they may just be telling everyone that decisions go out tomorrow so as not to disappoint those that don't get "the email" tomorrow.

Hopefully we'll be able to figure out what the ACTUAL policy is by tomorrow!

Good luck everyone!

why so many versions...?
mail, no mail, to be sent out tomorrow, already sent out...
after all, all we can do is to wait anyways...

Hi everybody,

I'm from France and here is the copy of the mail i got from NYU:
"I am pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to the New York
University School of Law Graduate Division as a candidate for the Master of
Laws. Congratulations! A formal offer of admission, along with important
information, has been sent to you via UPS international express mail. However,
we have sent this email in advance of your formal offer as we wish to invite you
to a special event that we're hosting in Paris.

Dean Richard Revesz cordially invites you to attend a cocktail reception with
alumni and friends of NYU School of Law on Monday, March 20 2006, at 19h - 21h
in Paris. The reception will feature a keynote presentation by Olivier
Dutheillet de Lamothe, Membre du Conseil Constitutionnel.

This event will provide you with a unique forum to hear firsthand about some of
the exciting developments that are occurring at the Law School. It will also be
an excellent opportunity for you to meet alumni of NYU School of Law and fellow
admitted students.

We appreciate your interest in New York University School of Law and look
forward to meeting you in Paris!

Best wishes,

Lesley L. Thomas
Director of Graduate Admissions
NYU School of Law"

Good luck to everybody.

Do you have any e-mail address where people from Admissions Office can be reached? I am worried because UPS does not proceed to delivery of envelopes unless someone signs the receipt, and there is no one at home during the week.

Thanks
