I have a scholarship to NYU with a deadline. I have called Harvard and they told me they would let me know today. I have not been called. I called back and the woman in the office told me I would receive an email by the end of the day (1 hour to go). Is she some reason she won't tell me the answer on the phone? Does this mean I have not been admitted, in your honest opinion? PM if you got a call from Harvard or an email acceptance. I don't want to sit on this and lose my scholarship to NYU while waiting for Harvard. Any advice?

Why don´t you send a PM to some of the HLS students that are in this discussion board and ask for their advice/ help? I think someone like josepidal could be help you out.

Looks like HLS has managed to create another misterious email similar to the one last year :-)) I can imagine the faculty discussing its content fall last year and finally approving the final draft around 1 January - apparently, some great minds are behind it as an ordinary person would have put it much clearer ;-)))
