Hi karthik008!
Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us! I am already living in Seattle and you are right: this place is amazing!
I am from Brazil. Where are you from? What did you do after the LLM program? If possible, tell us a little bit more about the job opportunities.
Thank you very much again!

First of all, sorry for the late reply.
the job opprtunities really depend on what you have to offer firms in the US.....the main question is...why shoudl a US firm hire you instead of a regular JD who also does not come under any visa issues.
You will need to demonstrate that by hiring you, the firm's income is going to go up. if you being hired means substantially more income for the firm, they may even sponsor your visa....but its very rare. It all boils down to one's competency and power to raise turnover coupled with a US law firm's initiative to collaborate with your home country on increasing revenue. If you satisfy these issues and prove to be an 'asset' to the firm, its a cake-walk!
Cheers!

Hello everyone,
I am a prospective student of IP Program of UW 2007.
I have gotten the admission and I really look forward to attending the program because the courses seem great.
However, I also have a big problem with my TOEFL score report. I have requested ETS to send my score report to UW but I don't know why they just can't receive it. I am so worried that maybe I can't go just for this.
Could you guys share with me the process in which you used to order score report to UW? I have ever asked the Services Coordinator of Graduate Admissions if I need to choose a department code. The answer is no. But I find there is actually an department code in the option box of ETS website when I ordered score report. So I sent twice, one without department code, another with it (which is Graduate Law 03). Unfortunately, they still have not yet received it now. I have been stuck with this since February till now and written tons of mails to both UW and ETS. I also asked if UW can offer me alternatives to make my TOEFL score convinced to them, but no response till now. It would be very appreicated if you can share with me your experience. Thanks a lot!!

Hey relax. The problem is not you but may be the ETS.
I sent mine twice with and without the department code 03 to UW via telephone request and got Ms. Snider's reply to my email query about whether they had received my report in three days.
The delay of UW may be resulted from the high volume of emails during this time. Maybe you can make a phone call.

hello seraval,
Thank you for your suggestion. I feel much better! I have decided to call School and ETS since I have done all I can do by mail. BTW I am also from Taiwan. Are you going to attend UW, too?
