LLM acceptance letters

Hi,

Last week I receive an acceptance letter form Georgetown and a rejection form Chicago. Still waiting for HSL, Stanford, NYU, Berkeley and Duke. Does someone received any acceptance or rejection from these universities?

Hi, lcm -- According to several sources, Harvard will not finalize decisions on LLM admissions this year until March 25, not March 15, as was shown in the application materials. Letters to applicants will then be mailed out via the postal service the following week.

Sorry, I don't have any info on the other schools you mention.

Good luck to all!

Has everyone who applied to Columbia got its acceptance/rejection letters? It seemed to be this week that they were sending e-mails to everybody, and I got nothing...????

I'd like to congratulate those of you who have been offered admissions at the law school of your choice. I just discovered this website a few days ago, and i wish i found this long before i decided to apply for an LLM, because this is a wonderful community webboard where lots of people discuss their common interests and concerns. I'd like to let you know that i have been offered an admission to an LLM in Taxation at NYU and Boston University. I received the letter of admission from BU on March 13th and from NYU on March 17th. I am more likely to go to NYU. Again, congratulations to all. For those of you who have not heard anything, please stay positive and do not give up.

Bobby,

I'm in at LSE with a partial scholarship. Please explain why you feel it's an "unparalleled experience". Cheers.

Ryan,
...an unparalled experience because it's one of the most prestigious schools in the UK and in the world. The teaching is top class, the professors are renowned. It just feels powerful learning there. It slike nothing I have felt before ,academically.I guess you have to be there to experience it yourself.
Goodluck with whichever choice you make.I wish you well.

Hello-
I just talked to Columbia admissions office and they said decisions have been ongoing since late December and will continue until late April. They also said they will contact us by email... Do you think this means they haven't analyzed our application material yet?

Thanks Bobby - I am very excited about LSE. I studied in London for a semester in law school and have been aching to get back ever since. Used to pass the LSE building every day and wonder what it would be like to attend. Barring a financial aid windfall elsewhere, I will submit my acceptance later this week.
Do you know if American students have a difficult time finding employment in London with an LSE LLM? I am sure it is well regarded, but I wonder whether the London office of a U.S. firm would be more inclined to hire an LSE grad over, say, a Georgetown or Columbia LLM grad. Do you think the London location is a big advantage in terms of job placement in London?

In at Chicago!! They sent me the admission letter by email since late February but for some reason I did not received it. I would recommend that people still waiting for admission to Chicago send an email to the admissions committee just in case...

Chicago vs.. Virginia or Michigan??

Hi everyone,
I'm a Swiss guy who got admitted at Yale and Stanford, which was quite a surprise... Does anyone plan to go to any of these Schools ? I now have to make a choice between the sun and interdisciplinary approach of Stanford and the prestige and classicism of Yale...hard one. Any idea or advice ?
Best wishes to the ones who are still waiting for a decision from their top choice ;) I cross my fingers for you

Hello,

Actually, I did not apply to the LLM Program, but to the SPILS Program, as I would dream to go into an academic career in IP field later on. I got my admission packet at the beginning of last week (I live in Switzerland). Maybe they first notified their decision as regards the SPILS Program; we're probably less than for the LLM.

But if you don't have an answer by the end of the week, maybe send a diplomatic e-mail to explain that you wonder when decisions will be notified as their website indicate by 1st April 2005.

Remain positive, it helps a lot :)
