I think HLS has a different schedule for acceptance of north american candidates - that probably explains their answer...

But those whom were accepted like Tokyo Men or Douche bag are not from America! Me I am from France...

Chris:
I think you 've already made the decision. (Look at your logo. It shows that you are very pround of this school.) I remember you said that only HLS can change your mind, didn't you? I'm from Japan. I'm quite confident that HLS still hasn't launched its offers for applicants from Asian countries yet as far as I know. (Tokyoguy is not a Japanese) We'll see it at the end of this month or early April. Good luck.

Well, Miki, my colleagues who went to Penn before make me reconsider their Penn Law, giving the fact that Itacha is so small and remote. For my only one year in the states, i will be able to explore the US life in Philly better than in Ithacha.
Plus, being in philly is more comfortable to travel to the nearby big cities like New York, Boston or DC when in a break. Most important of all, they told me that a big city kind of guy like me will end up dying in Ithaca. So, tough decision to make now.

It also seems to me that UPenn is a wonderful place. I have received an offer from them 3 weeks ago. Now every week I get letters from different professors who were in the Admissions Committee in UPenn. All of them invite me to UPenn and describe why my application was especially interesting for them and what a great candidate I am. I know that probably everybody from the admitted students get this letters but I still think that it is very sweet. Therefore, although I have not myself made any final decision where to go I am sure that UPenn is a very nice place.

Hi all, just signed in. I was also accepted at Upenn a couple of weeks ago... I have also been receiving these emails about my impressive application... it looks like they really want the non-refundable US$ 500,00 which are due on April 1st. I was also accepted in London (UCL) and I am still deciding on the pros and cons of studying there...
still waiting for HLS, Columbia, NYU and UChicago...
NYU invited me for a conference just before Easter, but no acceptance so far.
I got an email from UChicago aknolowdging the receipt of my applicantion and saying that I should have an answer in 6 weeks.
Anyone from South America has heard from any of these?
Anyway, it was really good to find this discussion group...
Thank you all,

Chris:
you are right, I decided for the same reasons against Duke and Virginia even I think that these schools are more personal and maybe even better. Some hours to NY by the Chinese-Bus is great and you can live for reasonalbe prizes in the Center and close to the School... Not like Manhatten.
Matreshka and Larthur:
I am jealous! I did not get these nice letters! (Well, maybe they will come because I applied very late and got the admission three days ago).
So, wish to see you all there ;) Or first in the discussion board for admitted students... Actually where are you from? I'm from Switzerland and as I wrote before: Only Berkeley could change my mind, but it is not very likely beeing accepted there.
Cheers, Luke

Hi Luke,
I am absolutely sure that you will get these letters. Especially closer to April 1 if you do not provide the deposit by that time. Anyway, I think that it does not matter for what reasons they send the letters, we all deserve compliments. : )))
I am from Moscow, Russia. I thought that my nick sounded pretty Russian, but oh well. I was also admitted to Virginia (with a nice financial aid) and Chicago. I am still waiting to hear from Columbia, NYU and HLS. Long time before final decision, I guess.
Is the UPenn forum interesting?

Hi everyone, I received the accepance email form Chicago earlier this week, no news on NYU. But, being really optimistic, if I were to get into NYU as well, which should I go to? Any opinions? Thanks!

I just waived my admission to PennLaw. Good luck to those seeking to get off the waitlist!
On another note, I was just informed by a friend who is a JD student at Columbia that the Admissions Committee will start releasing email decisions these week by batches of admissions, rejections and waitlists. Fellow Columbia applicants: cross your fingers and please let us know of any news!!!

Well done vakil !!
Lets hope my *!#!? letter finally arrives !
By the way, does anybody know whether it is better, in order to work in the US, to have an LLM from Cornell or Oxford ?
