International Taxation - NYU x UF x GULC

Louis

I'm aware that these are the top 3 programs on the area.

However, I still have some doubts regarding the main differences among them. For instance:

(i) UF x GULC: Which one is considered the second best (after NYU)? Is the job placement much different between them? Is UF regarded as the second best nationwide or would it be more of a local program?

(ii) NYU x GULC/UF: I've heard that the quality of the programs are pretty much the same. Is that correct? If so, does studying in NYC make such a huge difference when is comes to find a job at a big law firm or big4?

Finally, considering the reduced cost of attending UF (especially if you are granted with a scholarship), would it still be better to go to NYU? What about GULC?

Ranking:

I believe the 3 programs are of the most high quality.

However, I'm also curious about how the location of the UF would impact its degree value in a job search in the northeast region.

Anyone?

I have been admitted to both GULC and UF.

GULC (without scholarship) x UF (with in-state tuition fee)

Since they're tied for #2 on USNEWS ranking, what would you do?

I have heard UF has a better program but GULC has more prestige...

Hi!

I am this year at GULC in the International tax program... from Europe.

A friend is currently at FU for the tax program too.

We can say that for employment after the LLM we were invited to the same recruiting events and will have a job both before the end of the LLM.

So both programs are great !

But.. Washington is amazing :-)

good luck!

NB: this year 26 international LLM students at GULC and a lot of fun!

NYU >>>>>>>> UF

I got into both, chose UF, regret it. Recruiting here is non-existent, and Career Services doesn't even let you know about positions until AFTER the deadline to submit materials.

If you get into NYU, GO.

I agree... at GULC the career office is great and we receive a lot of opportunities.

So, in my case, I have already a lot of interviews in December.

Good Luck
