Thanks, great to know!
A question about the personal statement: has anyone printed it and (physically) signed and scanned it, or added an electronic signature to the document? I'm pretty sure this is not necessary, but it would still be helpful to know what format you have used...

Hey, I raised this question in previous post with no answer.
It appears that this year there is no requirement for a signature. In previous years the instructions appreared to require one it but this year all the instructions say is: put your name is at the bottom of every page of the statement (ie in a footer); double space it; and put the word count at the end.

Anyone who applied his/her IELTS score instead of TOEFL?
Never heard of anyone applying IELTS instead of TOEFL score. You might wish to include your IELTS score either in your resume or appendix in addition to sending them your TOEFL score. However, I would not recommend not sending your TOEFL score at all.
I don't know what the problem is with IELTS evaluation system. I took both of them, and I assure you, IELTS might give more accurate results considering to the candidate's knowledge and comprehension. Even though ETS is a non-profit organization, I quote, "ETS President Nancy Cole received total annual compensation of just under $339,000 plus use of the manor house on the former horse estate where the company is located in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Vice President Robert Altman received even more salary and benefits, $358,000, but no housing allowance."
TOEFL measures how we are fast while answering questions; it's not relevant to usage of language, is it? We, as candidates or students, can demand reviewing our scores after the test, but it costs as expensive as retaking the test. And thus, we are supposed to fail every test we take for getting more 5 or 10 points. This is plausible since they need to earn more money, and we need to get higher scores. So, please don't say we would better add IELTS scores on resume, or other additional pieces. or requirements.

Did you ? Are you seeking a waiver ?
No, I didn't and I won't. TOEFL is not capable to measure my ability on English, I admit that. So, if a school assumes that I am not able to get education through them, I find a better school which values my skills, and accepts as I am.

I also have not found these instructions. All I see is:
Please type your statement, with your full name on the top of each page, and attach it to your application.
and
Note: There is a word limit of 1,500 words; please provide a word count at the end of your essay. Please be sure to use 12-point font, with at least one-inch (2.5 cm) margins on each side.

So, is it the top or the bottom? :D
Btw, does a recommendation letter need to be signed manually or is it enough to upload a doc or pdf document?

Plus, double or 1,5 spacing? :) To me, double looks kind of strange, but if that's the standard...

Anyone here chose to send the transcripts directly to Harvard?
I got worried because my EMS tracking didn't notify me of the completion of delivery despite the fact that 02138 MA post office has it since Nov 24th. Then I checked the UPUS website, and they claimed that the delivery is completed. BUT!!! there's no information about the person who signed for the mail!
When I sent the EMS to LSAC, UPUS provided the info about the person who signed, and I got the delivery completion notice from JP Post as well (I sent these from Japan)
But for HLS, nothing at all!! JP Post didnt confirm delivery completion. MA post office won't pick up my call. All I have is UPUS'claim of delivery completion...without the sign info ToT
Anyone here used EMS and got confirmed of delivery completion with the signer info?

Hi guys,
Can the application be submitted on Dec 1st, or before that date (i.e. no latter than Nov 30th)?
Many thanks
Hi,
I would think that you can submit until December 1, i.e. no later that 23:59 on December 1.

Apologies, yes that's right. I was trying to remember them off the top of my head. Apologies again for any unnecessary stress!

Could someone confirm that, please? Also, it's probably the US time that should be observed, right?

Yes, The application deadline is Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Good Luck!

Does anyone know if the December 1st deadline is actually enforced for the Financial Aid Application? As I understand, financial aid decisions are made after admission decisions, means it would be very hard to review financial aid applications on December 1st. Does the website still allow you to submit a Financial Aid Application after the December 1st deadline? I ask because my parents are taking too long to fill out the Parental Form of the application.

They just submitted the form. Now, apparently parents receive a request to submit a "Recommendation Letter" for financial aid, is this how they call the Parental Form or do they actually have to submit a letter of recommendation?

This is how they call it.
