If so...I think stanford and harvard will declare their results in late march...

Hey!
Many thanks for the info! So this probablly means that the decisions will be sent after the spring break! So annoying, I really expected decisions on March 18th...

I am really tired of this meaningless wait..

I don't mean to give false hope, but maybe they only wanted to be on the safe side.

I am still confident that many applicants will hear from harvard on 18th...if this is not the case, we'll have to wait for just another week. Of course waiting is quite bad, but the positive fact is that it would be only one more week :)!

Btw, I think that Harvard sends out all decisions on the same date, right?
Posted Mar 14, 2013 14:33
Yep. my friends applied last year got their admissions and rejections at the same day. Hope Harvard will respond on Monday next week.
Posted Mar 14, 2013 14:48
Yes I guess all receive news on the same day. I was just referring to fulbright scholars, who almost inevitably receive decisions' communications a bit later.

Hi all,
Been grateful for this thread, thanks for all the information.
Quick issue on 'admission offer dates': by way of background, I was offered a spot at Columbia so I asked for an indication from Harvard about my status. They gave me the standard 'ask for an extension' email, which has been dealt with in previous posts. But, replying to my original email, I received another one today from the grad program which relevantly provided: "...we are unable to provide you with a definitive answer before late March. If you cannot get an extension [from Columbia] until at least March 30, 2013, then we would have to advise you not to give up the offers from Columbia for the possibility of being admitted to Harvard Law School, especially since we will not be able to provide you with our financial aid decisions until early April."
I assume other people received this? The "March 30" suggestion implies that March 18 may be a little early for offers...which I realise is an unpopular implication, but I thought I should let you all know! I'm hoping for next Monday too :)
I am tempted to say (perhaps because I need and want to think that decisions will be released next Monday) that, after carefully reading again Harvard' email to you, the reference the Graduate Office made to the 30th of March should be in some way linked to decisions about financial aid. And that perhaps admission decisions will be instead communicated next monday. Or at least I hope so :)

I hope so too:) I had an admission to CLS and should respond by 25 March...

I'm with you Mac23. Sounds like a great theory to me :)

The wait is killing me.

I have an offer from Columbia and have to respond by 18 March - does anybody else have to respond this early? Anybody have any idea why I might have an earlier date attached to my offer? Thanks!

I am facing the same deadline for Columbia, but I received an answer in the early review cycle so the slightly earlier deadline seems reasonable.

Hi all!
I have been following LLM GUIDE for 3 years now, specially the HLS LLM threads, so I can confidently say to all of you that they should be releasing answer next week.
So... enjoy your weekend and relax. Be pacient, there is nothing you can do but wait.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate you. Eventhough most of you wont get in, the fact that you are considering HLS tells a lot about the positive future you will have.
I did not apply this year, I will apply next year, but anyways, best of luck to you all!!!
H.

Thanks for the kind words. You are right, many of us won't get in. If I'm not mistaken, on average HLS receives 1600+ applications for 170 - 185 slots.
The good news is, once notices are sent, many questions will be answered and decisions easier to make.
Best wishes to all of us.

Is it possible for UPENN to reject you and Harvard will accept you?
