I think that is entirely possible, especially since Harvard does not send rejections by email.
As you said before, sagacity, lads, sagacity.

To be honest I dont see the point in speculating at this point. I got a test e-mail, but am waiting to hear on Monday, when they said decisions would be finalised. Ive been admitted to NYU and got e-mail from Columbia on Friday admitting me as well. All this speculation and theory is really counter-productive and depressing. From what I can gather the whole thing is so random. There are 150 + places on this course, and so far only a few people have gotten admissions decisions.
So what! We were told to wait for Monday. I know Columbia and Cambridge are operating a rolling decisions basis and are sending out e-mails and notifications randomly. NYU was the only one that sent out everything at same time.
I would imagine something similarly random is happening here. Please also remember that all this was started late Friday afternoon. It seems rather cruel and pointless to send a test e-mail to people they want no further contact with, but I have better things to be doing with my time then trying to figure out administrative procedures in a law school admissions office.

I got only one test e-mail on 24th of March,
What does it mean -"second test email"?

"It seems rather cruel and pointless to send a test e-mail to people they want no further contact with, " agree with you even very very cruel,
lets' have a good and nice sunday and see our emails tomorrow

One more thing. I am sure everybody got the second test email. Many of my friends who are apparently hopeless also got the second test email. So I agree with the theory that those who were admitted got two test emails, the first one being the test before sending admitted emails and the latter being the email sent to everyone.
HI there! What do u mean -only admitted students received test e-mails?

see tomorow kem, read the post you will have the response to your question

Most likely they want to send out all decisions before 29th so they won't be swamped with phone calls. But this 2nd test email thing is so nerve-wrecking - spoiling the weekend.

Let's face the facts: a LOT of misterious things happened this Friday. We now have people who received from 0 to 2 test emails, and the truth is no one knows what the hell all of this means. The only thing I'm positive about is: it ain't over till it's over.
So I guess we should all enjoy our Sunday and see what happens tomorrow. If you need to entertain your brains in order to forget this thread, I suggest SUDOKU: http://www.websudoku.com/
Good luck to all!

I'm from Brazil and haven't heard of any Brazilians admitted or rejected.

I got no test emails so far. I know I should wait till Monday but still I can't help checking my email-box from time to time. I already got admissions from NYU / Columbia / Chicagio, etc. but am still looking forward to getting admissions from HLS. .... hopefully I could get some news on Monday.....I think that will be a rejection (but it will really kill me if I know I am on the waitlist.... >_

I am from Brazil as well. At this point, I am quite positive I was rejected. Too many people received the second e-mail test, so I can't see hope on it. Good luck to you all!
I am sure that you already have great choices. Enjoy it!

Hi Paula and XXX. I'am also from Brazil, received the 2nd e-mail and couldn't see any admitted brazilians.
Unttil Yesterday, Saturday, there were in this board 16 admitted, 18 that had received the 2nd e-mail and 3 that hadn't received any news so far.
Wish us all luck!

We all knew we had to wait till the week of March 27th anyways...so let's not get too crazy about this. We'll find out soon.
Posted Mar 26, 2006 18:24
Agreed, it's the waiting game.
While obviously not all admitted HLS students will frequent this board, you'd think there would be more than 16 out of a possible 150.

Wow I've just discovered this board! Hi everyone...
I've been admitted, but I've only received the first 'test email' and the admission email, no second test email.
Cheers

Just to add to the information, I'm from the Philippines, received the first test e-mail (and almost had a cardiac thinking it was a rejection e-mail), the acceptance e-mail, and the second test e-mail.

has anyone from South America received admissions yet...
