I did not receive it yet...oooops...is it a bad sign? did they already screen some applicants and did not even notice the decision date?
btw...I dont remember they specifically said in their Feb 22 email that decisions will be made by March 17... they were saying that notice will be made in the week of 20-24... now they're saying decisions will not be made until the last week of March and notice will be sent in the week of 27...sounds like we are most likely be hearing from them as late as March 31, and maybe April 1...

in response to gevurah -- the email i received was the same as the one you recall. specifically, "We currently anticipate that admissions decisions will be announced the week of March 20 March 24 (we do not know the exact day/date however, we will send an e-mail informing you of the date as soon as we are able)."

Hi folks

I just talked to the admission office last two weeks. They planned to send out the admission decision before the spring break, the last week of March. I am not sure whether they can do so because the head of admission office has been sick lately. Anyway, we, the current LL.Ms., already finished preparing the contact info. and the unofficial guide to living in cambridge which will accompany the admission packet. My guess is that the decision might at least be distributed before April.

Best of luck to all of you waiting for the decision! :)

Thanks for your kind information. As you are the current LLM student of HLS, could you please tell us something about the notification of admission by HLS? Would HLS send electronic notices to applicants about admission and rejection while sending regular mails?

Thanks

I dont know how the decision will be distributed. Last year we received them by email while those who were rejected got nothing whatsoever.

I think it's rational that they will inform you by email considering that it's the only way they have used to communicate with the applicants this year. It seems to me that telephone notification, as some in this board claimed his friend got, is not practical given the hugh number of admitted students. Phone calling makes sense and is easy for informing of the decisions to small class like YLS or SLS, but not for those admitting much more students such as HLS, CLS, NYU or the likes.

Thanks for the information, Chris.

I think many on here are skeptical about the earlier claim by one poster that their friend had received admission to Harvard by phone. As a wise judge once said, it simply did not have the "ring of truth."

Hi Chris. Thanks again for your kind information. One more questions: based on last year's practice, do you mean HLS will send an admission email to the admitted applicant but will not send a rejection email to a rejected applicant? Thanks.

Correct. That's what happened last year.

Do you have the record of or remember the sender's email address? I guess it is not from the address that sends to applicants notices about the defferred decision date...

I just received the following e-mail. I guess HLS is starting their engines to send out decisions via e-mail. Best and good luck to all!

I did. Could it have been sent only to those applicants who have been admitted. Or am I getting delusional?
