Hey guys,
does anyone already has his transcripts ticked off in the application tracker? I received a generated email remaining me to upload missing transcripts, but I e-mailed them to the relevant e-mail address like almost a month ago.
Nonetheless, if I understand correctly from the previous years' threads, this confirmation of transcripts usually takes some time, and I have probably nothing to worry about, insofar I e-mailed the transcripts on time. :) The e-mail indeed says that there may be an upload lag of more than 2 weeks for a particular item. If anyone has some other experience, please do tell:)
Cheers!

Hey, yes my transcripts are ticked off in the HLS application tracker. It did not take more than a week after I sent them.
Posted Nov 11, 2020 11:22
Hey, thanks for your answer! Do you think that it has anything to do with the fact that I send them before submitting the application? I honestly do not see any point in re-sending them, but it lasts suspiciously long -.-
Posted Nov 11, 2020 11:30
I do not think so. I sent my transcripts a day before I submitted my application. Maybe you should contact the graduate admissions office...

My transcripts are ticked off as well. I sent them through LSAC, in the same day I submitted my application. I guess it took around a week for them to be processed.

Admitted (deferred) HLS LLM student here. One of my transcripts was sent in December from my former college so please do not worry. Submitting your application asap is important. They even give you a grace period until after deadline to submit transcripts if I remember correctly (please check this is still the case).
Ps: they’re working remotely so it may take longer. Good luck, all

Thanks all, much appreciated!
I was just wondering about this because I received this reminder e-mail today and I emailed them my transcripts already around 15th October (like 2 weeks before submitting my application). However, it also took more than a month for my TOEFL to be ticked off. So I agree it probably just takes longer because of the remote work and there is nothing to worry about. I will just leave as it is and re-send the e-mail is there is no change until 1 December:)

Hi guys! How do you think ( or know in case of some deferred students) that Harvard will tackle the 2021-2022 class numbers due to the pandemic deferrals? Do you think that they will increase their LLM class size or that they will only reject more people than usual?
Posted Nov 16, 2020 17:00
@Fleaflicker2020 I think that the number of places available will be quite limited, lots of students admitted in 20/21 deferred to 21/22 ...
Also, I don't think Harvard would increase the size of the LLM for multiple reasons. They cannot double it in one year, especially in time of pandemic where social distancing is crucial.
This year, the competition will be very very tough for an LLM in Harvard (much more than before)

I agree that is unlikely that HLS will increase the size of its class, considering that even with a vaccine, we'll still have to take social distancing measures for a while.
However, the announcement of the possibility of deferral said that they would have a limited number of students allowed to defer to 21/22. Once this number had been reached, new defers would have to be for 22/23. That been said, I believe it will be tougher to get in, but how much tougher it's hard to say.

Any ideas about the entire volume of applicants this year? There seems no lively chat compared to last year.

The chat is usually quiet before HLS start to send refusals, it's not relevant on the number of applications, it will probably be as previous years - very high.

Hi everyone.
I applied for an application fee waiver on the application form. However, I had not sent my financial aid application at the time. I was informed via email that my fee waiver request was denied and I would be reconsidered for a waiver if I sent the financial aid application by November 27. I sent the complete financial aid application before the 27th however my application fee still reads “Awaiting” on my status page. I also haven’t received any email as to whether my request was further denied or approved. Considering the deadline is tomorrow and we are not supposed to contact the admissions office, I am totally confused. Do you think I can pay after the deadline?

Does anyone have any idea how many students from 2020-21 batch were deferred to 2021-22 batch?

I heard from an admitted student that deferred that there were 80 students who deferred

Hi all, nice to meet you! I submitted my application right on the deadline.
What legal issue did you all write about?
Posted Dec 05, 2020 12:17
Hi! Does anyone know how Harvard evaluates part a of the essay? Do they use Turnitin or it goes through faculty review only?
Posted Dec 10, 2020 07:28
My application went in a few days before the deadline. I wrote about the COVID laws passed in the UK this year and presented an analysis of the current situation, from a legal standpoint. I have been practising law for 6 years and have a law degree from Oxbridge. How about everyone else's background?
Excited to see the results in the new year, although it is really a long wait!

Hi all,
to those who applied right on the deadline - what is your application status? My TOEFL and transcripts are still "awaiting".
