Or pay the deposit.


Can you pay the deposit to more than one school?
I think you can. You can pay deposit to one school and finally decide to go to another school. Schools don’t talk to each other? But anyone correct me if I am wrong.


I think NYU requires undertaking that you withdraw all other apps when you confirm place

For me, it is crucial to know the financial aid result to make my decision. This will make a great difference.So they should release this information before April 1st. No one wants to lose a scholarship given by another institution.

A part of my heart thinks that it can be today as well, but then my mind is sure that "not this week" means not this week.

I hope they come in on Monday - at least three more days of restlessness, of agony, of overthinking, and of 'no-other-businesses-due-to-curiosity'. :D

As to Financial Aid, until last year, they have been releasing the FinAid decisions a week-ish in advance of the end of March. I too need to respond to offers by 31st March and 1st April, and hope that I won't have to accept those because I won't reject those once I accept. While it isn't at all great to pay the deposit and then maybe reject later regardless of its forfeiture, it feels more guilty to do that with unis that do not even ask for the deposit and treat us nice that way!

A few times Harvard released its decisions on weekend. However, I highly doubt it will do it today or tomorrow having in mind its note posted on our application pages - HLS made it very clear the decisions will not be out this week :( I think it is the best not to expect anything before Monday

Does anyone have concerns about coronavirus's effects on the next academic year? What if all classes will remain online and the campus will be closed - in such case, would any applicants here consider paying the tuition if accepted?

Ipek, if the pandemic reaches such a level and devastates the US going into fall/autumn, I’m more worried about family and friends in the US (and humanity in general) than the LL.M.

Things are looking really bad with the lack of preparation and containment, and I’m praying for everyone in the US, UK and around the world.

Thoughts to all of you may have been affected and those around you!

So long communities across the globe step up their response and efforts, (esp the U.S. and Europe) we should be okay. I am positive that summer will arrive with healthy winds and sincerely hope and pray they take appropriate measures. Good luck everyone, stay safe, take care of yourself and your loved ones!

I think it is much too early to make an assessment - it is only speculation. Now let's just enjoy that the decisions are coming up!
