Hey PCFL, thanks for your msg. I keep my chin up!!
Yeah, I applied Early Action. My status was turned into Decision around Dec 12. As of now, I have not received any mail from them (u know, standard mail is extremely slow), so I emailed them. They then provided me a scaned copy of decision letter......
Maybe u just try to contact GULC abt ur letter, dunno they will close during new year.
Anyway, hope u'll get a good news soon!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Did anybody receive any news from GULC lately? Any good or bad letters?
Posted Jan 15, 2009 01:42
I haven't heard anything. You think GULC will make decisions before the 30th?
Posted Jan 15, 2009 13:52
I went "complete" on Jan 12. Based on what happened with the foreign early action applicants, they'll mail out acceptances next week and the rejects on the week before the 30th.
What's strange is that some people rec'd acceptances by email. I'd rather get a letter. That way, based on the thickness or lack there of of the letter, you can tell the outcome before you open it.

Why do to think that the timeframe in our cases will be the same as the one in the early-action cases?
Does it take only 2 weeks to make a decision to accept in a regular action case? I recollect (I read on the site) that it takes 6-8 weeks... Am I wrong?

'Sorry. My mistake. I thought you were early action. Eventhough I went complete on the status check on Jan 12, all my materials were in before Jan 5. So I rec'd the early action email. The foreign early action passed already. So I noticed that the accepts went out about a week before the rejects. So if I don't hear anything by next week, that would be bad news. For you, it's totally different.
I thought you were too.

Is that right 13243546?

I am sorry. I thought that you responded to me. Yes, I am a foreign-educated lawyer... and I hope I will be in :>
Good luck to all GULC applicants!

I wouldn't worry if you don't hear back until January 30th because my application became complete on December 19th. I know early (U.S.) applicants heard back on December 22nd, I'm sure this is some of the more impressive students who applied early in the earyl application cycle. I figured that G'town will send out the remainder of the applicants for early admission around January 30th. Alot of the foreign applicants who got in heard back on the 12th of December, the foreign educated deadline.
So if you don't hear until the 30th I'm sure it is not all that bad.

Are you in the tax program and may I ask when your application became complete?

Thanks, UTaaron. We'll see, that's for sure.
myadav09, yeah when did you go "complete"?
If you rec'd mail today, that means they may have been working over the holidays. I know GT was shut down for MLK day on Monday and yesterday for the presidential stuff.
