Now that is a peculiar situation. I'm sure it's just a glitch in the system. The admissions office should have it straightened out next week, after the extended holiday break.

No problem! Let us know once you've been given access. It's worth the anticipation.

That's great! How are you finding the site? Don't forget to join the Facebook admits group.

Quick question: when you received the admission package, did you receive a yellow letter requesting for new transcripts in case they didn't "comply" with the requirements?

Yes. But I read that if you applied via LSAC. then you are fine since LSAC will send a copy of the transcripts to the law school once you decide to enroll.

BTW, does anyone knows if invitations for scholarships to international students have already been sent? Thanks!

I haven't received any invitation; although others may have received theirs. I hope to eventually receive one.

I just received a mail from georgetown, saying that they will like to schedule an interview in the coming days. Anyone else receive any such communication?

Hmmm. I have never heard of Georgetown conducting interviews for incoming students. What LLM are you pursuing? Do you think you have a unique situation on which they might want clarification? Is it a phone interview or in person? Good luck and let us know how it goes.

That may very well be a positive development. Hope you could let us know about it afterwards. All the best!

Well it's a skype interview and they say it's not compulsory for me to take it up...but this is so that the admissions committee can have some additional information to base its decision.
They gave me the option to schedule it also according to my convenience.
Since there were so many options available I assumed others would have also gotten similar mails.

I think it's a good indication that the admissions committee is reaching out in that manner. It may mean that the committee is interested in your application and just wants to check on a few points. It may benefit you to schedule it at your earliest convenience.

I also received the same e-mail and registered for the interview.

I also think it must be a good sign--like they really want you but there are only one or two things that make them hesitate. Clear up those items to their satisfaction and you'll probably be in. It's better than a rejection and better then a waitlist.

When I applied to GULC last year, I had been out of law school for 19 years and had not been practicing Tax Law. The Dean of Admissions set up a phone call with me to clarify my resume. She asked me to submit an extra statement that answered her questions before giving my application to the full Admissions Committee. It worked. I was accepted into the Tax LLM program and started in Fall 2013.

This must be something new they are starting--doing it through Skype. Are you international students? Good luck to both of you!
