Georgetown 2013

Hello,
I have been admitted at UCLA (with a scolarship) and Georgetown but I don't know what to decide.
Do you really think that as Geirgetown is better ranked I should go there or the difference in rankig (only 2 places) doesn't matter that much.
Thank you for your help !

they r the same..not a really big difference in ranking.if I were you and applied to the International Business and Economic LLM I D undoubtedly choose Gtown. Again the scholarship is something you have to take into account..again it depends on the program, the curriculum as well as what you really want. Both locations are excellent to study so its up to you.

To what LLM program are you applying? If Tax (for example), Georgetown is ranked #2 and UCLA is not even ranked. The program makes a big difference.

I am applying to international legal studies.
And Georgetown is also better ranked for this program.
It is just very hard to give up a scolarship for only 2/3 places on a ranking !

The money makes a big difference. If you can avoid paying for the LLM forever just over one rank point, based on money alone, then UCLA is your choice.

They are in very far apart geographically and if you were planning on practicing in the US, then that might make a difference (e.g., choose GULC for DC-based international opportunities or UCLA for West-coast based practice), but that may not be as big a concern for you.

Good luck.

Has anyone here been admitted to the GULC National Security Law LL.M. Program? I'm a prospective applicant.
