Bruselas

kow teh feeling, even in Belgium you cannot really trust the post service - that's why I'm also beginning to feel pretty anxious about any letter I may receive from NYU

Hi Bruselas,

I am from Belgium too.
I am also waiting anxiously for an answer from NYU (and Columbia, Berkeley, Stanford, HLS).
Where else did you apply ?

Hi Rey,

I applied to the same universities except for the fact that I chose UVa instead of Berkeley - have you had any news yet ? - I had offers from Columbia + UVa-given your university selection, there's a fair chance we have met before or even know each other

Hi Bruselas,

Indeed, it seems that we must have crossed each other sometime.
Are you Dutch or French speaking ?
Did you apply for a Belgian scholarship (BAEF or Fulbright) ?

Rey and Bruselas,

Sorry to interrupt you guys, but I must say that both of you are very lucky with the weather. In Moscow it is -10C and tons of snow. It is promised to be -20C on Thursday. Don't we just have a lovely spring here in Russia.

Bruselas,
I graduated from UCL and I am working in Namur.
I received a BAEF scholarship and I am still waiting for the Fulbright.
What about you ?
When did you get your answer from Columbia and what is your deadline for acceptance ?
What is your top choice ?

Matreshka, your info about the Russian weather makes me enjoy even more our charming Belgian weather. Two weaks ago it was freezing here...

Hey - sounds like we did not meet that often - nice to meet you Rey!
well actually, I only had a BAEF honorary fellowship
- and therefore hope to have a Fulbright
please do not hesitate to tell me in case you would like to have my private contact details - I am going to Namur for Easter WE (my grandmother lives there)-impressed by the similarity in our choices - in what capacity have you been working ?

Hi Bruselas,

I would be glad to meet U in Namur.
I work there at the University.
What is (or would be) your specialization field ?
Mine is IP law.
Cheers !

P.S. I think we should continue this conversation "in private" but I am not eager to leave my contact details on a forum. any suggestion ?

I suggest you guys to use the mailbox, which can be found inside your account information. I hope that you can figure out yourself how it works.

Bruselus,

If it was a question for me, I work in the Moscow office of a large international law firm. I specialize in the fields of securities law (ADRs and Eurobonds) and corporate law.

Dear all,

I've just discovered this forum. Very interesting.
I am Belgian too, working in Brussels.
I have been admitted to Columbia (where I secured my place by paying for the deposit since my deadline was March 15), Michigan and UPenn. Still waiting for HLS and NYU. Unfortunately, I only received BAEF a honorary fellowship. I would be pleased to hear again from you on this forum.

And a .... third one !

Let's create a Belgian Club !

I'm a bit jealous of you guys because I still haven't received any answer... HLS, NYU, Berkeley and Stanford.
I also applied to Columbia but since you two received an offer, I guess I'll just be refused....

Bruselas, as you can see, I'm kind of addicted to this forum too...

Sorry to interfere in the Belgian's club but I ask whether or not you people used the Law School Admission Council to apply to NYU? If yes, which "credential" result you received? And if you got accepted? Thanks in advance!

Rey-
I also haven't heard from Columbia and I am really anxious... I know some people here received their acceptance letters, but I really don't understand why they are sending decisions at different dates. I think there is still a chance they haven't analyzed our application material yet... Or maybe we are in a sort of "waiting list"... What do you think??
Tks

To the Belgians:

We should try to meet, Rey do you pkan to come to Brussels during the next weeks - otherwise we'll just meet on June 3 - but I definitely think that we should meet before .... Rey/JNF are you in touch with other Belgian LLM-applicants ?
