Criminal law

I would like to ask which one you consider best regarding criminal law. I´m specially interested in NYU and Columbia. If anybody could give my some tips regarding the issue I would be very thankful.

Hey, Criminal law's my thing too. As far as I can tell, Penn is the best around (or at least one of the best). They have Paul Robinson, Leo Katz, Stephen Morse, and Claire Finkelstein - all people with genuinely international reputations in criminal law theory. After consulting with criminal scholars in my country (Penn was recommended over Cambridge, NYU, Chicago, and UCLA - LSE was a close second), I've decided to go for Penn. I'm about to sign up in the next couple of days. But if you're looking for a very practical criminal LLM, things might be different (maybe NYU - not sure though). I'm interested in criminal law from an academic point of view.

If anyone has any other insights, I'd be interested to hear them. Because criminal law is very rarely discussed on this forum.

Columbia, of course, have George Fletcher, who is a criminal law legend. I'm not sure who else they have though, or how much he teaches anymore.

Thank you for the reply. I´m focusing on these two schools, because I´ve been admitted to both of them and I´m trying to make up my mind. I´m looking for a combination between practical and academic.I agree, that criminal law is very rarely discussed on this forum.
