I submitted the on-line application in the beginning of Nov., and got complete on 10 Dec., hoping this information will help.

so it takes about a month.... maybe they got more applications to go through now near the end of the deadline..... on the undergraduate admissions page of the school of law I read that they are not going to respond to emails between december and mid february because they are so busy with all the applications. after that you are welcome to contact them with any concerns. so if I havn't heard anything from them until the end of this month I will send them an email asking...

My online status still indicates applied as well, since the 26th of November 2008. :( God knows what's taking them so long, since I know that they have all the documents that I couriered over...

I am from Beijing, China.On our domestic Discussion Board, there are altogether four persons' status changed to " Decision" on 28 Jan.

I got a rejection post mail from Cornell Law School today.

FYI, My aplication status turned to "Decision" on Jan. 28.
I'm a 5 years-experienced lawyer practicing corporate law, but my Toefl (iBT) score is 96.

I applied to Cornell on 11 Jan, 2009. But I never receive the confirmation e-mail which states that my application is complete and ready to be reviewed by the committee.
Ohh Godd..it takes too long to know the result....

I submitted my application on 17th December and my online status still reflects "Applied"....They emailed me on 21st Jan saying....

"We have processed your application form. Because we have received a large volume of mail over the last several weeks we have not had the chance to process your supporting documents. We are working diligently to get the mail processed as quickly as possible. As soon as we have processed your additional materials we will contact your via email to update you on the status of your application file"....

Its end of 1st week of Feb and my status still remains the same....God! know wat they are doing with my documents, I hope they havent lost it!!!....am begining to lose patience with Cornell

....it gives me hope that there are so many of us whose status is still not "complete"... I was worried before that they lost my materials too....
Is the TOEFL score that important?

I submitted my application materials on Sep. 29, 2008, and since December 10, the status is "complete"... As described in this post, there were a few decision notifications, I really do not understand. I thought decisions would come up as a wave, like the other schools...

Cornell should have received my supporting documents by 16 December yet my application status still remains "applied" since 8 December!! Do you think it would be worthwhile sending them an inquiry e-mail or should I sit tight and assume they are busy?

Just call them my friend. I did and the secretary told me everything will be ready in an hour (and it was...).

I received mail yesterday and I was waitlisted......pretty worried, I just have no idea about how to increase my chances to be admitted out of the waitlist pool
