Hi Gregor,
I am going to submit my application either today or the latest tomorrow. A quick question...if you dont mind telling me, how did you respond the question on the application that is asking about the people or the organization influenced my decision to Cornell? Do I have to write a lot or just simply state the reason? And do I have to praise Cornell in this question? I am a little confused, would be glad to get ur advice. Have you already received a confirmation email saying that ur appl is complete?
Congrats with everything and best of luck!

Hey!
Sorry for the slightly delayed reply. Yes, I just a gave a one-liner to indicate the people/organisation that influenced my decision to apply to Cornell. To be honest, I said peers etc - doubt you will have to praise Cornell!
I have lodged my application 2 - 3 weeks ago but I haven't received a confirmation. Good luck to you too!
Which universities are you apply to?
Cheers

Honestly, Cornell is the only school that didn't write me back after I sent my application back in early September. I've also tried to write them less than one month ago, and still no response. Please make me know if you'll have any feedback from their admissions office. best of luck!

Gregor2008,
Thanks so much for ur advice. i am replying you with a slight delay too, but as french say "better late than never"...:) I am going to send out my documents today, so lets see if I receive any confirmation email from them. It seems hard to contact them by phone as well. I tried to call them more than 5 times and at last was able to reach them last Friday. Their phone goes straight to the voice message but if anyone is thinking to call them, it rather better call early in the morning and towards the end of the week. That was the impression I got from Cornell.
Guys, lets keep updated each other and if I have anything new, I will definitely post it here. Good luck to all of you!

I plan to apply to Cornell, too but haven't got my application done yet.
Does anybody know that what could be a nice TOEFL score for the applicants? I think TOEFL score of 79 stated in Cornell's guide is quite low and not impressing. BTW, I get 93 and wish to have higher one in my second test.

I'm not sure - and I'm even losing interest in Cornell -, but I think should be around 100, like any other Ivy League University...79 is likely to be the score for beeing admitted to undergraduate studies, but for the Law School I'm afraid your score isn't enough, although many Universities at the end allow you in with lower score...this is just an opinion though...

Hi, all.
I submitted application online, and personal statement with recommedation letters last week. Of course, no response yet. My TOEFL score is 103, and GPA is about 3.1, so little chance to be admitted. However, I'll wait for fortune while preparing for safety net now...

hey. is there a financial aid form for cornell?if yes whats the the deadline?
Posted Dec 03, 2008 20:52
It states that "In addition to Cornell Law School fellowships, there are, in limited cases, funds available for LL.M. students through other international programs at Cornell University, such as the Institute for African Development or the Peace Studies Program." (http://www.lawschool.cornell.edu/international/degrees.cfm)
I don't know when is the deadline of each fund.
Waterloo....I think you have a nice chance, so still hope!
And... my 2nd TOEFL score is 98. I'm a little disappointed that it isn't 100 or higher. Is it quite good for applying to Cornell?

Hi Applicant2009,
I see that you apply for Chicago also, do you have the slightest idea when they will come up with a confirmation email. It looks like they are the only university that has not request my LSAC report since I submit my applications a week ago.
By the way, anyone have any clue when will Cornell give you acceptance decision?

Hey applicant2009,
I have already submitted my application for Cornell, so if you have any questions, let me know - would be glad to answer them.
I am having one of the worst time of my life. I sent all my rec letters, PS and resume by UPS 5 days ago. And UPS lost my package and still could not locate them. I do not care much abt PS and resume since I can always print them and resend again. But my rec letters were received from oversees professors and there is a very slight chance to obtain them again...Even thinking to drop my appl if UPS could not locate the package.
Anyone has any such experiences in dealing with UPS? I was on the phone with UPS 5 times today almost an hour each time. I feel like I am getting to know all their managers...Feel really horrible.
