I sended email to check my status last week, and the school replied:
"Thank you for your email. We are still behind in processing the many applications we have received over the last couple months. We are processing applications in date order that they were received. You should be hearing from us in the next few weeks we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
So don't worry if your status still remain "processing."
We still have a chance!

I was offered admission on February, 17th, but no financial aid as well... the email says: "we will be considering candidates for fellowship"... let's wait for it.

Congrats leolusvarghi. Same here. i was offered admission on 7th February and got the same message. does anyone have an idea of when Cornell makes its fellowship decisions?
I also got admitted into Georgetown Law and GW Law. i prefer Cornell because its Ivy league and well respected in Africa where i come from but my friends who have attended Georgetown and GW Law all have wonderfull stories to tell about the quality of education and job opportunities as well as strong alumni. i am a bit confused at the moment. GW Law and Geirgetown are also considering me for scholarship though georgetown scholarship grant (as i hear) is very small. can someone please let my have his or her opinion with regards to the better school to attend. i am also waiting for a decision from university of Michigan.

Did your admission letter say anything like, "we will be considering candidates for fellowship"?

In my case, it simply says " I regret to report that we cannot offer you any financial support."

Me too. It says "Although it was noted that you requested financial aid in the form of either a fellowship or an assistantship, I regret to report that we cannot offer you any financial support. "

Hey, I got in about two weeks ago. I have two questions:
1. I received only the alumni magazine!?!
2. Why is everyone bashing cornell? I thought it was a great school - ivy, small class and ny with ithaca, from what I see one of the first schools that law firms visit.
Then what so wrong with it?

Hi, I too got in. A) I only received the alumni magazine, but I don't see why this is a problem. B) Cornell is a great school, regardless of what people say on this guide. I believe it's LLM is one of the best in the country. Yet, it is also the most expensive. I challenge anyone to name a more expensive program.

I suppose many people do not like it for its location. Its in the middle of nowhere, 80 minutes from the nearest regional train statation and 4 hours from NYC. But apart from that, it's such a renowned university around the world.

I agree with you, AW. People seem to be so focused on the law schools rankings that forget there is a slight (if any) difference between most of them. I had heard very good reviews about the Cornell Law School until I logged in this website and I keep thinking we should not diminish its good standard based only in these methodologically suspicious comparisons...
Concerning the location, it is in the middle of nowhere, but other good schools are too like UMichigan in Ann Arbor (that stands in a better position in the rankings). We'll spend only 9 months there, so it shouldn't be of much concern where exactly the university is located if it is outstanding.

I think choosing any one of these top schools cant go any wrong. The major deciding factors really come down to personal perference, location, costs, reputation of particular subjects and in other countries...
