My application status went from "complete" to "application in review" in mid-January; does anyone have any idea how long it will take for the admissions office to make a decision?

I have no idea.. but also interested on knowing about Cornell's timing.

My application and materials were sent /(and therfore completed) the the first week of January, but my status checker does not reflect that.. I guess 2 weeks should be enough time for them to udpdate the status page, right?

I am starting to get worried... I hope they actually hot everything, DHL won't lie..

Good luck to you too

Ringirl,

I wouldn't worry about the fact that your status hasn't changed to complete yet. It took about 4 weeks for mine to change once they had received all the requisite materials.

I just wonder how long they typically review applications before issuing a decision. Not enjoying the wait!

Definitely, do you mind me asking what your status is on the status checker and for how long? Thanks.

Cornell's location and tuition fee do put me off, however, it does have good reputation around the world.

Wow, that's the highest tuition fee I have seen so far... What justifies that amount? The saved living expenses go right into tuition, I guess.... ;-)

hey everyone,

I applied to Cornell in December and received a mail stating that my application has been submitted. Since 17th Dec, my online application status has not been updated. I did not even receive a mail of confirmation of receipt or completion of my application. I have sent them a mail last week but haven't received any reply so far. I am starting to get worried. Can someone plz gimme some suggestion about my application?

Firstly, do you kno wwhether all of the required supporting documents have reached their hands? If affirmative, I guess they must be extremely busy at this moment. What about giving them a call to find out?!?

I guess that would be my next option. My status online keeps stating that my application is currently being processed for completion. Since the current status date is 17the Dec, I am confused as to whether the completion means reaching on a decision on my application or for checking if my application is complete. Guess calling them might provide some insight.
