I will decline the offer.

ADMITTED!! Called them this morning and they told me the good news. Cornell is now my first preference, but I'll probably change my mind if I get a positive response from Penn or Berkeley. Anyone else inclining towards Cornell at the moment? I'm from Australia :)

Partly... Given all the expenses, I think Cornell is not worth it.
I understand that you all find the tuition too high, but still: the living expenses at Cornell are way below NYC...Given this and the fact that Cornell is ranked No. 1 in the auap-LLM ranking, I'd think twice about declining an offer...

This ranking does not mean anything... That's 100% sure I won't go to Cornell. Same for UPenn or UCLA if I'm admitted.
I did not realize it was that expensive. For Harvard/Yale/Stanford/Columbia, I'm willing to pay for 70k$. For NYU/Berkeley, I would think about it.
Otherwise, without a scolarship, I believe it is not worth it. However, if I were very rich, maybe I would think differently. But I would have to borrow money, so...

I completely understand that you think that it is too expensive...but this ranking probably reveals more than the common ones, because it values the LLM programs of the schools according to worldwide surveys among students, employers etc. Ok, if you are planning to stay in the US, it does not mean anything...but still: Cornell is an IVY League School and has a great LLM program, probably the better one than the schools you mentioned (except for Harvard and Columbia and with regard to academics Yale).
But of course, it's up to you to decide....

Hi guys,
Cornell recieved my supporting documents a week before the deadline, but my status is still "Applied".
When I emailed them two weeks ago they said it would take time to turn to Complete and that I shouldn't worry, but it's been more than a month now !
Anyone in the same situation here ??

I am exactly in the same situation. It is still applied although I sent an email 2 weeks ago.
I hope the will move faster when they take the decision.

I am in the same situation too. E-mailed them a week ago, but no reply so far. They must be really busy...

They answered me saying that had a record number of applications this year, and that statuses would take a while to be updated.
However I really hope that we won't have to wait for 12 weeks after it eventually turns to complete !!
