Hi All,
Does anyone know if Cornell is sending out acceptances only at this point or declines as well? I just checked the website and it says decision - it's going to be torture to wait for that envelope in the mail.

I received the letter only last week and it was an admission offer!! So just wait a few more days (as they urge you not to call) and you might receive some good news!

What has happened to my application? I checked the current application status, and it still show the status is
Complete Your application is ready for review by the Admissions Committee. If, your application was complete by February 1, you should receive a written decision by the next 8 to 12 weeks.
What does it mean? The Admissions Committee have not reviewed my application? Or they just have declined me? Does anyone know?

dont worry, 'Complete' as it says means that your application is still being reviewed by the admissions committee at Cornell..It shoould arrive at a 'decision' soon though..
And I dont think it has anything to do with your chances of getting admitted or rejected. Your application is still being considered so just wait for a while.

Does anyone know what a fellowship at Cornell involves?
I am wondering what level of funding there might be as well as what responsibility a fellow has. They seem to want to keep it a secret!

I sent my application package at the end of last year, and now my status is "complete". From some other people here, I know that if the decision has been made, the status will be changed into "decision".
Hope it will be helpful to you.

Aurora - I know what you mean. I have searched on their website many times but there is just no information about the fellowship.

Does anybody know Cornell will send paper admission directly or send e-mail notice first?
Posted Mar 24, 2006 14:04
paper only

Yes, Cornell only sends its admission decision in mail to the applicants. Before receiving my admission letter, I did not receive any e-mail regarding my admission.

Hi all,
Is it true that in cornells admission process, they take into consideration the nationality and try not to have many students from the same country ? For example if somone is admitted from france, the other french candidates will not be considered ?

I shouldn't think so - I know of three Irish people accepted... that seems quite high considering they take 55-ish.
