Columbia LLM - 2020-2021 Applicants

I wrote to Dean Polo concerning scholarships and financial aid because other universities have offered it. I was greeted with a flat no. So no bargaining for me!

Oh no! Sorry about that. Had your applied to any of the Scholarship/fellowships when making your LLM application?

Did anybody recently hear from CLS on admissions and/or funding?

Not yet. I was admitted in early review (a bit before Christmas) and I haven’t heard anything on funding. I have other offers with scholarships, and they said that if I don’t have their response a week before the deadline I should email so they try to expedite my decision. However, in that case, I would have to send proof of my other offers and the deadline I was given.

Hi everyone! I’ve been admitted yesterday. My application was complete on January 20.

They already told me that there is no financial aid available. The deadline to confirm attendance for me at least is April 1.

They didn’t mention anything about scholarship in the email. Is it something you need to separately apply for or is everyone automatically considered for a scholarship? I don’t quite remember.

They mentioned that in the email? I guess the admission emails can be different for each individual applicant.
