Columbia Applications 2021-2022

Mel-D

This fall.

Hello and congratulations!

I am in the same boat as you.

Does this mean you will enroll for the Traditional LLM instead of the Executive LLM?
Were you in today's mock class?
Have you received financial aid?
The February 15 deadline is very close.

I received  a hardship financial aid for the executive LLM but the traditional program the just sent me an email saying they can’t offer me anything. I did not enroll the class today because I am thinking about which university I am going to chose. I received 35k from Cornell and 10k from Berkeley. It is hard to decide right now, I need to think more. Did you receive any scholarship offer from Columbia?

Berkeley started releasing decisions? When did you apply? Congrats by the way

Congratulations on all you acceptances.
No, I didn't receive financial aid from Columbia for either of the programme.  I also got into Cornell. They state that they are still considering my financial aid application. I have applied to Bekerley for both Executive and Traditional LLM, but have not sent in my video yet.

congratulations on your admissions! just a quick question regarding financial aid - did they ask you for any financial information? If not, did you provide any additional info apart from ticking the 'yes' prompt on the application form in order to be considered for financial aid? I did not provide any such information and am wondering how on earth do they evaluate financial aid this year...

Hey Everyone.

I have specific doubt. kindly help me out if anyone of you could assist.

Congratulations to everyone who have received offers for admission :)

I am an Applicant from India. I had been granted a TOEFL Waiver by the Office of Graduate Legal Studies, Columbia Law School on the 19th of November 2020. As mandated by on the Law School's website, I had duly attached this emai confirmation with my LSAC application form and timely submitted the same on 18th of December 2020. I received the Application Submission email, but have till date not received any intimation for "Application Complete". I had written to them on numerous occasions and their last email to me read as hereunder:

"We will automatically mark your application with the TOEFL wavier, there is nothing further you need to do at this time."

I guess the application would oonly be reviewed by designated committee only after it is marked as "Complete" first.

However, I still have received no e-mail confirmation regarding my Application Completion. I am pretty tensed as alot of eople have already started getting Admission acceptance mails and my form has still not been updated with the rrequisite documents.
Calling out for any assistance. Thank You :)

Dear Colleagues,

Please permit me to pick your brains. Once an applicant pays a deposit after admission, is the applicant REQUIRED to withdraw from all other pending applications to other schools? I am asking this in relation to a situation where the deposit deadline for the first school is earlier than the admissions decision dates of the other schools, and not paying the deposit for the first school might be risky since you cannot tell whether the other schools would admit you or not. I know that deposits are non-refundable and have no issues with that.

I don't want to ask the other institutions for an expedited decision because I feel it may jeopardize my chances of admission there.

Thoughts?

I applied to the traditional LLM on December 16. According to LSAC website, my report was transmitted on December 18. However, as of today I still do not have a confirmation e-mail regarding the completeness of my application.

Should I be worried? anyone else in the same situation?

I was in the same boat. I applied on December 18th and just got my confirmation email on February 4th. So it seems to be taking a while.

Has someone's status faded in the past weeks? Mine disappeared from the "Personal Information" box and now the only available data therein is my name, email and LSAC account number. My application status was marked as "completed" since beginnings of January. Anyone?
