Yes they said March. I am assuming the adjustment was made due to the deferrals.

Hi, just a question: I applied to Harvard, NYU, Cornell and Columbia and already received an admission from Cornell (+ 35K scholarship). Do you think that Columbia and Cornell prefer people with similar background? And which one is more selective? Thank you!

Just my personal opinion. Columbia is more selective/competitive than Cornell. Columbia and Cornell have very different cultures so they probably look for different things in applicants. A good applicant on paper will do well everywhere, but Columbia is probably more interested in "soft" application factors than Cornell (i.e. that you started an initiative for under privileged youth, etc.). Again, this is just my opinion.

Thank you for a reply! Well, does this indicate that Cornell is more interested in transcripts etc whereas Columbia pays more attention to internships, pro bono work, work experience etc? Thank you, L.

I wonder if it is ONLY by letter or if they are doing an email as well.

"We will release most admission decisions simultaneously in mid-March by email, and most financial aid awards (in the form of institutional grants, loans, and any of our named fellowships) will be sent by late March. Offers of admission are also sent in writing, by courier."

I wonder if it is ONLY by letter or if they are doing an email as well.

Hi all.

I received an email from Columbia telling me my application is complete and the decision will be released mid march by letter.

When did you submit your application? I just realized I never received the application complete email. I applied on December 18th and got an email confirming receipt on the same day.
