Hey guys, I got a financial aid decision yesterday saying that I wasn’t going to receive any aid (including fellowships). Kind of disappointed as I was hoping for at least some assistance. Does anyone know if we can ask for reconsideration on this - specifically re partial tuition waivers?

Hi everyone,

Has someone else experienced difficulties contacting CLS? Whereas several weeks ago they responded to my emails within hours, they currently do not react for days. I was wondering wether this is a general impression or not?

Financial aid decisions are out. But, to my knowledge, fellowship decisions aren't yet.




Did you receive an e-mail re the financial aid decision? And if yes, when?


I received a Financial aid decisión on March 22. I got a Columbia Law School Grant of 20K. Nonetheless I believe I am going to accept Chicago's offer (also 20K). I am very excited for the law and economics program and I believe the city and the program at Chicago are the best fit for my graduate studies plans.

Hello! has any deferred or newly admitted students heard of fellowships (Appel,  CPRL Lemann, HR, Jagdish Bhagwati)?

May I please request students who have joined the Columbia 2021-22 WhatsApp Group but won't be attending Columbia this Fall to please exit the WhatsApp Group. The said group has already reached the 257 participants' limit and currently, about 9 students who will be attending CLS this Fall are unable to join the group.

Maybe a Telegram group? I understand that the limit is beyond 1k.
Congratulations to all those who were admitted, and I am sure that better things will come to those that this year did not make it.


I am starting my LLM course this fall - is there a WhatsApp group / telegram that I could join? if yes, can someone share a link here? Thanks a ton!

Has anyone received any information regarding reserved list admissions? In the email, they said that the process of re-evaluation will start in April and continue till May. So I'm assuming it will be on a rolling basis. Has anyone got an offer or received any information so that we can certain our chances?
