Waitlisted by Columbia. They say that the decision will be made by late spring. Does anyone have any idea how long it can take for them to make the decision? Also, anyone else who has been waitlisted?

How did you know you are waitlisted?? Did you write them?

No, they just sent me an email saying that I have been waitlisted.

Maybe this week we should receive a response, considering the general deadlines... last week was spring break and I understand that the Law School was closed.

I sent them an email, asking for an expedited decision.

Do the waitlisted decisions come soon after the 1 April deadline as people would free their spots by then?

Does this confirm my waitlist theory-- that people who still haven't heard are on a sort of waitlist held for further review until people start declining their seats?

I got waitlisted by Harvard. When I e-mailed them they said that the WL decisions are made starting from mid May until August. They suggested that I enroll to somewhere and keep waiting and if an admission comes that I should just give up on the deposit fee. Maybe you may consider that as well

I received my letter of admission but there's still no decision on the financial aid application which is crucial to me since I already have good offers by GWU with 1 April as deadline to accept /I am a Fulbright nominee as well/. I wrote to Columbia to check whether they can decide quickly on the financial matters of my offer.

Any news about financial assistance decisions? Have been waiting since almost one month ago.

They answered yesterday to my email request saying that they would have sent my application to the admissions commission for review, and received the email just before posting. I don't know if they had already started reviewing my application before my email. I did not apply for financial aid
