And what will our chances for financial aid even be like? Won't most of the offers have been made already?

I'm a current LL.M at columbia. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Well- is it normal to wait all the way until the end of April to recieve a feedback on our application? How about last year? My concern is that, if I get a positive feedback on, let's say April 15, will I also know the info on financial aid or this might come even later (May-ish)?? Cause this is waaay to late for us non-US... :/

I got my letter at the beginning of March. I know that some of my friends here got it on April. I don't know about financial aid, I guess it will arrive later.

Dear santibear

Could you please advise when your friends got the admissions? UCB set forth April 15 as the deadline and I still want to hear something from CLS. Thank you.

Quite big, actually. 273 LL.M students in class of 2013, generally around 250-300 students. (http://web.law.columbia.edu/graduation/2013/student-speakers/llm-speaker)

I declined Columbia´s generous offer, so there might be one more spot (and considerable funding as well) available.

Good luck and have a wonderful year in NYC. :)

If you are searching for the number of LLM students, that is around 200-250. But this has nothing to do with class sizes.

You will have lectures and seminars. I had some lectures with 30 students and others with a 100, LLMs and JDs, but the class size doesn't matter that much for lectures (in my opinion). Seminars have 10-20 students. Both lectures and seminars usually mix LLMs and JDs.

You can check last year's app tracker for that info, but I would guess most of us got our answers by the end of March. But apparently this year was a little different, the application deadline was postponed, etc.

I was admitted today, without financial aid. I will most probably have to turn it down and choose another program that does not represent such a huge financial burden.

Hi guys,

About financial aid, unless you are applying for the Appel or Human Rights Fellowship, the aid should already come together with the offer. Some financial aids/tuition waivers are given scholarship titles later on, which is also good for your CV. Appel and HR Fellowships are usually released in May.
