Has Columbia university started giving out decisions for fall 2014?? Has anyone received a reply, if yes when did u apply please? U need not convey the reply, just post if there is any communiCation

I agree with you on the December thing, that is if one has applied in early review! But I read some students being admitted in the app tracker, hence the doubts

I applied on early action. (on October, 10) I haven't heard anything yet too. My status still shows "application completed" I guess you're right about december but I am now curious about the students admitted in the app tracker :)

I only see one guy on the app tracker who seems to have got into Columbia. But in another post he claims to be a 'recent' HLS LLM graduate.
I feel a tad bit skeptical. :/

Yeah, so I don't think Columbia has started responding yet. My guess is by late November responses will start coming out.

Its better if they are super quick! Waiting endlessly for a mail is not funny!!!! also by having an early decision, one can start making arrangements for finances! one thing is sure, admission decisions are given out first and scholarship decisions later.

Yeah waiting is not really fun :) and because of the time difference, I am waking up during the night every time my phone beeps because of the thought that it might be an email from schools :) I wonder if they really call you when you are admitted :)

I read under a previous year's topic that Columbia may state on their admission mail that you are not going to be considered for a scholarship.

Yet, December is coming! I'm happy that at least I'm going to hear something from Columbia in December.

I read that on the old columbia threads, about the mail mentioning not getting financial aid. That really makes life easier for the students, if the know rightaway.
But the ones who have no such statement on their letters, I don't know what their chances are. I suppose they are in a smaller pool of people being considered for scholarships.
