Columbia

Hmm, should I start to worry? I applied right before the deadline as well. Received my acceptance around Feb. 3rd. But I never heard anything again. It only said the financial aid decision still needs to be made. But does it take sooo long?

Thank you LegalEagle! Congratulations

I woke up to the Columbia admission email this morning! Now I have to choose between Columbia and Chicago - leaning towards Columbia now. I sent in my application right before the December deadline for the regular cycle. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting on Columbia!

Hi Jacobito,

I was admitted into all three; chose Columbia, and couldn't be happier. :) Although, Columbia has also always been my school of choice.

Congratulations and good luck!

You should choose Columbia without no doubt as Columbia is an Ivy League and has a better reputation than both of the other schools. However I don't know the llm programs of Upenn.

Same boat. Any ideas on when they might decide. Waiting all the way till the end of April seems terrible.

Applied in the regular in the early or middle December. No news yet. I think what we can do now is waiting and try to focus on other important things, e.g. work or study. Good luck!

Hi Wallace, could you please share with us why you are leaning to towards Columbia over Chicago? I believe many of us have the same confusion. Your inputs can be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Here's the thing. The Ivy League in total doesn't mean all that much for law school. 3 of them do not have law schools at all. Yale and Harvard happen to be ivy league and are also fantastic law schools, sure.

You also seem to forget that Penn is in the ivy league....

Further, Columbia is not particularly better than NYU. They're peer schools.

I would choose Columbia in this case as well, but this isn't a great line of reasoning.
