Seems no result was given last Friday.
Question.. Got acceptrd to Michigan and Duke about 3 weeks ago..yesterday got an Email from NYU that I'm on a waitlist.. Nothing from Columbia! does it mean it's doomed? I mean, if the answer was Yes I would have recieved a mail by now.. right? I need to get back to Duke and Michigan with a decision by april 2nd.... it's there a point in waiting for Columbia???

Hi All,
I looked on last years thread and it seemed that there were some early offers that came out late feb then there was silence for a out 3 weeks. Following the harvard offers, columbia released a big round of offers. I am hoping that means there will be some news this week!!

Me and couple other admitted people I talked to have the same deadline: April, 1. So maybe there will be second round after that? Some people will reject CLS for HLS/YLS/SLS.

What do you mean the second round? I assume people who waiting in the wait list will have a seat if some reject CLS.

No, not at all, you probably misunderstood my previous post. I´m sorry:)
Judging from last few years, CLS usually has lots of new offers late March/early April after some applicants who got into Harvard reject Columbia. But some of them still wait with decision for Harvard´s financial offer (this year it should come by April 1). That´s why I assume there might be a new wave of offers after that. Just a guess. Good luck:)

I have sent an email today and they just repeated the same thing writing in their website, "decisions are made on a rolling basis, in most cases by the end of April".

I just received an offer and I have to decide by April 1st, which is horribly as I have no clue wether UChicago with 20k scholarship or Columbia full tuition is the better option. (happy for any insights)

I suppose that may be true, considering CLS admission policy in past years (no waitlist, several "rounds" of offers, timing). But again, just a guess, I have no inside information. Good luck. :)
